It takes 5 or more minutes to upload a tiny picture for me. I can't imagine loading a map. imgur is far far better. That is coming from an previous imageshack user.

Except Imgur is garbage when it comes to large pictures, which is turns into JPGs.

No idea. Whenever I tried to upload a map between the usually 800kb-1200kb mark, it compresses.

If you can't edit it in Paint, it's completely worthless to us.

Get paint.net or something. If you use paint quite a lot this is a very big improvement (it is also free)

I use GIMP.

My point is that if you can't easily edit it in Paint, you shouldn't use it.

The limit is 1MB, I think. With maps, I'd open up Paint.NET and save it as an 8-bit PNG instead of 24-bit, which cuts down the size significantly.

Pics larger than 1MB can take too long to load, so you should avoid uploading them anyway.

The really big provinces are wasteland provinces. They can be filled in with smaller provinces by some non-lazy person.
