Actually, no. The chance of booms spreading is the same as downturns. I just nerf downturns whenever they happen. Like I said, your original downturn was enough to wipe out every factory in the game because of the pingponging.

So when will this new NES be set (i.e what technological progress ect)? And will this run on from SiliNES2? I would have joined that but school is really draining, by the time it gets to winter in...wherever you are I should be done though.

I'm thinking basically any time 1900-2050 is possible!
I won't run it directly from sillines2, but players can transport sillines2 nations if they remember the parameters, such as magical being merely a different form of tech. Mongol Dragons, for example, can be a Unique Unit that takes 20 levels of Dragon Taming to unlock.

I've been thinking about my old Peshawar Lancers IOT, and here are three conclusions that I made:
- It was wrong more me to add technological development. The whole point of the Peshwar Lancers was that the Fall screwed over civilisation so much that technological development was stalled for at least a century.
- Likewise, I think my whole system of different zones for each level of devastation was too complicated. If I ever do another Peshawar Lancers game, I'll just see if I can penalise the people that start in Europe and North America, while treating territories in those areas normally for gameplay purposes.
- Likewise, I tried to make the game too complicated (basically Iron and Blood), even though I am relatively inexperienced. Ironically, the Peshawar Lancers is probably the setting that was best suited to a 'classical' IOT with a very simple ruleset.

As great as it would be to have our own mod down here, I think Mafia/NOTW has a much better argument for it than we do. They would benefit from having a local mod much, much, much more than we do, as having someone to perform menial moderation tasks (locking/opening/renaming threads) would really benefit their forum. Besides, I can't really think of many IOTers who haven't been banned over 1500 times.
