That sounds like a bit of an issue if they want to approve every member when they could just use a super fancy capatcha type thing.

Like an image of "What is the middle name of Luke Skywalker's actor?"

Or they could just post "This sentence is false," and all the computers trying to gain membership would just explode.

Sounds cool. I certainly like the complexities.

Vatican City!

Only one microstate?

Can someone please tell me the story behind the chunk of Azerbaijan that looks like it should be part of Armenia and that piece of Russia to Poland's north?

Nice, Serbia has three Bulgarian provinces and one Montenegrin, you should fix that

Spoiler details :
The Azerbaijani exclave is Naxcivan. It was originally part of the Armenia that declared independence upon the collapse of the Russian and Ottoman Empires. The area had a large Azeri population and Azerbaijan (which declared itself independent at the same time) went to war with the Armenians over it. By 1921 both Armenia and Azerbaijan were occupied by the Red Army and incorporated into the Soviet Union. To resolve the dispute, a referendum was organised that led to Naxcivan becoming part of the Azerbaijani SSR. The Armenians gradually left the region and Azeris moved in, so nowadays it is almost wholly Azeri. The Soviets neglected to resolve the other territory under contention, Nagorno-Karabakh, which was also awarded to Azerbaijan and which following a bloody war and another round of extensive ethnic clensing is now under the control of a self-declared Armenian state.
