GM: Official results

Game Victories

  • 1st Place goes to Swaziland for achieving the highest IC
  • 2nd place goes to France for managing to lead 3 alliances (almost 4 if you count Canadian League)
  • 3rd Place to Texas for Technical leadership

Honourable mention goes to Xi'an, for having the lead the ATK to some very good early victories

Roleplaying.

  • 1st place goes to France
  • 2nd place goes to Russia
  • 3rd place goes to Siam, California and Swaziland, jointly

Honourable mention must go to Greece, who would have easily won this category if the player was able to stay in charge of just one nation

Just some notes for the end.

I had been planning on flipping Panama City, and from there use my large and highly experienced army to launch the Islamization of North America, as well as to overrun large parts of Gran Colombia.

I had been planning on keeping a lot more territory than had been allocated to me in the French Plan.

I had been planning on either purchasing Sudan or simply subjugating Ethiopia for it.

Communism would remain banned in Medina for a very long time, but over time, restrictions would loosen up on the Liberal and even Socialist parties, so that eventually something approaching a modern day United Kingdom, albeit one where the populace is very conservative and the monarch still holds some power, would form.

Over all this time, I still wanted to unite the entire Muslim world under one banner. That means ALL of it. As arya will probably tell you, I had been planning on leveraging my help for some concessions in certain regions.

Medina can and would into space with Muslamic Rayguns.

I'm guessing the three alliances were the Accord, Illuminati, and then the L'Entente Grande?

As far as ending notes go, Xi'an was right. We were planning to conquer the world.

Note that if you had become really vulnerable, I probably would have attacked you too, to try and get Libya, the Maghreb, Sudan, Spain, and Portugal, territories that historically were part of the various Caliphates.

The only reason I didn't join the Conference was because I knew they probably wouldn't give me such vast territorial holdings, so I had more to gain from the Entente.

Good, because personally I only invited you to the Illuminati because BSmith said to. I wanted to conquer you. :p

Then why didnt you go solo mech? Attack the Accord in their weakness then strike the ATK/UNA after the war? You surely would have gotten most of France and Swaziland, and you might have even won the war in the end. You could have soloed the war, and ended up on top after all.

Tawantinsuyo Ending Notes

I would have joined the war in two turns, and help the L'Entente Grand liberate N. America.

Roleplay wise, back when I was the Tawantinsuyo Empire, my main goal was to unite all the great Pre-Colombian empires under the flag of the empoeror. Which means I would have to invade California.

Since their foundation, I have planned to invade Colombia, but never got a chance.

Oh yeah, I had plans to conquer Germany since the British war, but the turn (maybe before) I was going to declare ZD quit. I still regret not attacking tk when I had the chance. That move would have put me back at #1 in IC, which was my main goal all along.

I'm sure If I had joined the Conference, my presence would have had a large effect on what happened. Of course, I also had a very long border with both of them. I felt it more prudent to stay neutral for a bit to see how things went, and I noticed a general trend towards the Entente. That and I was rather on the lazy side to actually plan such a plan, or even try to infiltrate the Conference.

TK, when you write the epilogue, can you have Napoleon III stage a coup and reform the French Empire? I was going to do it this turn, but things kinda ended.

That's basically what the War Powers act was for, that I mentioned last turn.

And of course, through the royal marriage, Medina inherits France later. :p

You aren't in my line of succession, but you never said anything about I in yours. :p :p

I was going to do a Victoria II style "The World in 191[0/2]", but its made a bit more difficult by the fact that some countries are already gone in the spreadsheet, and the fact that those numbers most definitely wouldn't hold next tun, so i just abandoned it.

Spoiler for those who were wondering :
Directly from the spreadsheet:
1. Swaziland
2. France
3. Texas
4. Canada
5. Librulstan
6. Medina
7. California
8. CSA

That was using the spreadsheet for this turn. If I assigned points (and considering what was likely to happen in the next turn or two), it would probably be:
1. Swaziland
2. France
3. Medina (totally unbiased :p)
4. Texas (I'd assume they'd lose Chile again and have Texas proper under siege)
5. Canada
6. Librulstan (too far away to effectively come under attack in that time)
7. CSA
8. Ethiopia/Tawantinsuyo

... some countries are already gone in the spreadsheet
Here's the other spreadsheet from the turn just before will Siam and Australia still a part of it.

You guys want the honest truth? You could still have beaten us, easily.

Well they had the "naval might" which stopped an assault on North America.
