Iron and Blood - Game Thread

Is that including Chile and Germany or not? Cause come on, they should really go back to their respective owners, that's not unreasonable.

Anyone care for some Californian Territories? I've been losing interest in this game for a while and I suppose I'll jump ship with everyone else. I'll send orders for this turn, but those shall be the last.

GM: Californian territories will be neutralised and any partial territories will be given to the original player who controlled a province if it has been retaken.

Those players who have left or are considering leaving soon, please post your feedback on in IB1 - Post Game Review thread.

Protip: Don't start world wars to make the game interesting. :)

Because there was just so much else going on that was interesting.

See, I'm so bored my sentences can't be made coherently!

If we finish up, can I write an epilogue?

Go ahead. Seems like everyone's abandoning this because they dont like losing. To me, the game wasnt boring at all. I was still roleplaying my little country, trying to make a difference in a big world. I agree that espionage sucks (most of my damn country revolted for some strange reason *looks at the USSR and the automatic 100 EP of the damn comintern*), but thats the way it is. Dont complain about how Swaziland and France were using every means at their disposal to fend off the rest of the world, because thats what it was. The rest of the world jumped on them, and so they used tactics they might not have otherwise.

Not only that, but the UNA were the ones that started the whole damn espionage war before they started the hot war. So dont complain just because the Accord turned your own tactics upon you, however unrealistic those revolts may be.

GM: I was going to ask you to do that. Its only fitting that you started you have the right to close the game cleanly.

I must say this has been one of my highlights for this year.

Remember to make a note about Communism being crushed once and for all under the weight of some 250k Allied troops. :p

The Le Grande Entente won the game I guess.

Actually it lived on in Gran Columbia :p
The Le Grande Entente won the game I guess.
TBH: I think the UNA could have reached a ceasefire and then a peace agreement had the game continued. I saw this end coming which is why I tried to organise a peace conference.

Is was a matter of time before Colombia was invaded, though.

True that ... it would have been another Sichuan

Does this mean Spain actually won the game? :smug:
Hardly. :p

I do find it amusing that a 2 week old alliance won the game. Not as much when you consider it was the successor to arguably the most powerful alliance in the world.

I now enclose my master spreadsheet.

This will give you an idea how I managed to keep track of all the players.

Overview is what you get in the Quickstats.
Turns is what I use to actually do the main calculations per nation.
Spy is how I calculated espionage results
Stability is how I determined what type of events you got
Experience is what turns you actually battled
Province is a list of provinces when I had to roll for a random province number, for events

TBH: If I did not create this spreadsheet it would have been very hard.

GM: With is post I am calling the game at an end. I thank you all for your support and look forward to seeing you in our IB2 Beta very soon and then real IB2

I'd call it a French, Swazi, and Medina victory, with their vassals, Tawantinsuyo, Spain, and Grecce, along with Ethopia tagging along.

I'd give it ranks:

1st place: France and Swaziland

2nd place: Medina, Canada

3rd place: Everybody else who isn't in the CoN.
