Are hot dogs usually tattooed in your region of the world?
That would be a painful beach to walk on barefoot.
Welp, I read this while using air conditioner setting at 28 celsius degree.
28C is not any kind of indoor temperature I'd want, even in winter.
I went for a run in 31°C heat. That was 20 min ago, I'm still sweating like a pig.

Don't do that again. If you need to exercise, do it indoors, with appropriate precautions (ie. stay hydrated and be aware of the symptoms of heat exhaustion; you don't need to be outside to be at risk for that - I speak from experience).
I wouldn't be surprised if a few people even die in London due to the heat. 40C is no joke and you are supposed to stay indoors and lower your temperature as much as possible.
A few? Try "many."
Hundreds of people are going to die, maybe thousands.
Yep. I was posting on CBC this morning, and it's disgusting how flippant some people are about this. Nobody who suffered through the heat dome last year could possibly sneer at anyone else going through this. Over 600 humans died in BC, and I don't remember the death toll of animals (farm, wild, aquatic, and pets; it was high). I'm not sure how many died in Alberta. I just know that I could have been one. Fortunately, I'd looked up the symptoms of heat-related illness and realized that I was in the early stages of heat exhaustion. Thankfully that was the day Amazon delivered my fan (I'd never owned one before).
Trek lol. Bad TV most of it
That was from the First Contact movie, when the Borg went back in time to prevent Zephram Cochrane from completing the first warp drive test that resulted in contact with the Vulcans. When the Enterprise went back to stop them, naturally the Borg infiltrated and tried to take over the ship.
Okay then what's the problem with drinking water etc from the fridge instead!
Personally I wouldn't. The only cold drinks I keep in the fridge are milk and fruit juice. I drink everything else at room temperature.
You know, I've never tasted that type of Fanta.
Since I have, over the years, watched Plan 9 from Outer Space, the Star Wars Christmas Special and also Disney!Star Wars, and last year I even read The Eye of Argon, maybe I should consider myself ready for it.
Grape pop of any brand is disgusting. I used to drink a lot of Cran-Grape (combination of cranberry and grape juice).
Dont know, but some of course. Many are old or ill people, but there also homeless people and people not so old or with some mild health condition who had not died in normal circumstances. There are also perfectly healthy people who think they are indestructible and go out to run with 40ºC and die of heat stroke. It takes all sorts to make a world.
I hope the municipal governments in Britain and elsewhere in Europe are providing cooling and misting stations for people. It's very well to tell people to go to an air-conditioned mall or other public building, but there are many people who simply cannot do that because they're not within walking distance (newsflash: not everyone drives). These were crucial in helping to alleviate the misery people were experiencing last year.
I remember times when we were having a heat wave and I'd seek out places where people were watering the lawn close enough to get the sidewalk wet, and I'd go stand in it. I did this at the Calgary Zoo one time (a couple of friends and I went to see the pandas; it was a hot summer day and I wasn't feeling great). Even at home there was one heat wave that was bad so I asked my dad to start up the sprinkler. He looked at me like I was crazy when I said I just wanted to stand in it. That half-hour felt wonderful.
