ITNES I - An Epoch of Change

A new sun has risen over the horizon. The king of Nortugal, Erezius the 1st have just returned from Carthage, a few weeks after signing the Imperial pact with them. This would mean a beginning of a new age for Nortugal-Carthage relations in Nortugal. The ancient Portugal, by what ancient scrolls ay, was destroyed by people who their name was Kartag. It was, and it is still unknown who those people were but many believed the Carthaginians were the cruel people who destroyed Portugal. With this treaty thought, the ancient thought that Carthage is an enemy would be eliminated. Either they did it or not it is no longer important. The Nortuguese are a new people, different than the Portuguese. They are no longer superstitious or hateful because of the words of any gods. They think using their minds and not using stones or future tellers. And after thinking many Nortuguese agreed that hating Carthage for something that no one is even sure they did only because ones the unreal gods told them, is stupid. A new age of relations, good relations, of trade and prosperity would endure. Hopefully, to strengthen Nortugal.

The defensive alliance with the DIE and Carthage was also very important. Nortugal, after the northern wars, was beaten by its enemies and sent back to Hibernia. Nowadays Nortugal is surrounded by enemies. From the powerful Gaul empire to the weakling Alban states. Weak or strong they all hated Nortugal with a whole heart. All because of the Nortuguese aggressive past. Now finally Nortugal has allies it cold probably count for if attacked by one of this many enemies.

Another change of plans for the Nortuguese king was that no longer wars and expansion into the northern sea would be welcome. The Nortuguese know when they are defeated and too weak to retake those areas. The new lands to the west would be a welcomed change, now that the Nortuguese have new lands to settle and expand into. Now the Nortuguese population could allow itself to grow as fast as it would like without a risk of lack of room or food. Already several routes of expansion were signed by the king and already ships were leaving with new settlers to the new world, to new possibilities.

All in all Nortugal was doing fine. Every problem had it's solution for now, but the future holds surprises. None knows where all will lead us. but we shall find out...

OOC: Sucky thing I know, but i'm bad at writing so deal with it :p. Orders in less than an our.

From Huancac Empire

The peace we would propose
Is right under your nose;
The NAP we set at three;
Say the word and make it be.

The deadline is here. Don't have orders for Tiwanaku, Brigantea, Cimberland, Hellas, Mordvinia, Onoghuria.

Unlike previously, I won't be quite as tolerant towards non-senders as before. If anyone doesn't send ANY orders at all twice in a row, he's out. The same goes for any of the non-senders that don't confirm that they are still in within 48 hours. I really do hate the way people take up nations - nations that could've been taken by more active people - and then fail to send orders. Its highly irritating for a wide variety of reasons.

EDIT: And don't bother sending any orders or corrections, btw. I won't be around to read them anyway, if you're lucky.

As the ships left the port of Nord Lisbon the sailors did not know yet where would they be in several years. While six of the ships sailed into a mostly known route southward (thought not into Gaul waters, rather for more western waters, still towards Iberia) six others sailed into the unknown western continent. The two exploring crews were named the Newers and the Punicers. Each after the place they would be looking for first.

The Punicers route was through the oceans towards Iberia. It was an easier route as all they had to do was go along the already known seas near Gaul, and only remember not to enter Gaul waters. Ones they will reach northern Iberia they will begin their journey southward. Far into unknown western African coasts. There they would move from Carthaginian port to port looking and learning of what goods are to be traded there and than ones out of the last Carthaginian port they would sail far far to the south. To the most southern place in the world. Edge of Africa. Tales say that if you cross it you reach the strange and new waters of unknown lands ones ruled by the Indians. The Indians were known to the Nortuguese only since Nortugal begun leaving isolation and new talks begun with the emperors of Carthage. Information was switched among the two the most in the past weeks since the signing of the Imperial Pact - an alliance between Nortugal, DIE and Carthage. The Nortuguese learned that Carthage had a gigantic war with the Indians over the ancient lands of Egypt. While coming out as victorious in the end Carthage was extremely weakened by that war. India was a far greater foe than the Nortuguese would expect from such a strange and seemingly far and outdated kingdom. They learned India was not outdated at all but rather strong, very strong, probably the strongest empire in the world at that time. They also learned that India had colonies across the eastern coast of Africa, a place unknown to the Nortuguese. And so King Erezius send the Punicers first to find a route with Carthage and than continue and look for a route to those strange lands. They were not allowed to install any Nortuguese outpost unless they had to in order to survive. He also declared that any port created would be considered nothing but a colony of Nortugal and not lands under its personal control. The admiral who creates the port would be the ruler of it and only will have to pay taxes to Nortugal until the port is removed. Other than that the main rule for the Punicers was to find the Edge of Africa and look if they can for those Indians who seemingly were there.

The Newers had a much different job. They were to journey together with settler ships to the known colony of the new continent, for now known as Newea but than they were ordered to leave the port and land a small army in a place still unnamed (: which OTL is New-York) to look around the seemingly rich area and than continue southward to look for more places that could house a good trading port. The Newers ports would be part of Nortugal, and not colonies of it, and their ruler will be the king of Nortugal any trade that they would bring be considered directly Nortuguese by law. The Newers were to find more trading partners in Newea. They were to go south, but ones reaching a sea which the Carthaginians talked of they would stop all creation of posts under Nortuguese rule. From there again they were to form only timed colonies that must be disbanded as by pact the Nortuguese agreed these lands are under direct Carthaginian influence. After reaching that sea they would search for those unknown tribes of Lmeca (: Olmecs) and also look for them as hopefully trading partners. Than they would continue south to unknown lands. Hopefully maybe finding another large rich in gold and resources continent, only for the Nortuguese. Only time will tell, in this random new world...

May success come to the Punicers and Newers.

OOC: How is the new continent known to Nortugal?

A gift shop?! Oh! so yeah! Need to change orders to look for it :)!

And conquer it!

Im out.

I think Hellas is getting invaded

Plus its too late for him to fight back...

Its a bit cynical of me, but I still would like to thank those of the loyal players that imposed pre-emptive justice on at least two of the non-order-senders! :lol: No hard feelings, Attacked Ones.

Actually, your neighbours sent orders, but thanks for the offer. ;)
