ITNES I - An Epoch of Change

I perceive it as flexible (capable of fighting mounted (on horse- or camelback) or dismounted) medium troops.
Same, though I picture them as medium/heavy.

I'll write a story at some point to explain them better.

Its spelled wrong on the first page.

Spelling varies.

How far are we from early Medival Age?

Still quite far, but catching up.

I see the one in Namibia though.

That's the one. ;)

but they are on boats.

Well, its either that or you haven't been studying my sacred postings as diligently and thoroughly as you should have. :p They are spread out garrisoning the key cities of the colonies they are adjacent to.

Same, though I picture them as medium/heavy.

Heavy all-terrain highly-flexible troopers might be asking for a bit too much, don't you think? :p

We gratefully and enthusiastically accept this.

From: Jutland
To: Tarunia

If anyone was disloyal, then it were your foolhardy emissaries who had threatened me and mine, and went openly against the Jute laws.

From: Northern Berber Tribes
To: Ouagadougou

We are already prosperous and powerful, and our warriors fight on their own just fine. Do you have anything else to offer us in return for our allegiance?

From: Mande tribes to the northwest and on the eastern border
To: Ouagadougou

We shall join as long as our tribal traditions and self-rule are respected.

From: Kwa City States
To: Ouagadougou

As do we.

I could've also sworn this was the sixth..

We greet you travelers from the east and would discuss peaceful relations at the least, and trade, that's how friends are made.

From: Phoenicia
To: Huancac

Although the distance is quite far,
we are happy to answer with "JA"!

We Phoenicians are allways eager to meet new and interesting cultures. So far we have only heard rumours about the fabled lands of the Huancac and their great ruler Face-of-the-Sun. We would be most interested in opening friendly relations with you. However we don't realy know where you live and how we are supposed to get there. This greatly troubles us, as our merchants can't wait to share our goods with you.

So I was writing the best story ever when my computer decided to reboot itself and I had not saved the goddamn thing. So yea whatever, no story then :p

Would Gaul be interested in a deal like we made with Caledonia? We shall cease blocking Gaulish trade routes and will leave you alone with your Sol and in return you shall leave us with our Atheism? And if you would like we could open trade. As said, our aims in our attacks were only defensive (otherwise we would have landed with Carthage there...) and we look only for peace and trade in the end.
Money!

TO: Nortugal
FROM: The Empire of Gaul

We would not be unwilling to open our ports to trade with Nortugal - sadly, however, that cannot be accomplished until such time as we have sent the vile Punic fleets to the bottom of the sea. We will not act out against your Athiestic policies. However, for the sinking of our ships, we ask for 1 EP in compensation.

Our NAP is expiring would you like to renew for 3 or 5 turns?

To Phonecia
Our agents on the shores of the Carib sea will facilitate our trade.

Nortuguese Declaration
After much debating a name have decided to be given to the new found lands. With the knowledge we now have thanks to our own, Carthaginian and Phoenician maps we have deducted that this new land is a whole new continent and not The Oriental (Asia).

With this new knowledge the King of Nortugal have decided to name the continent after the name of the lost lands of Portugal. The new continent from now will be known as Heavna Portugalia, or in short Portugalia.

This information will be sent to all kingdoms known to Nortugal. The King hopes this name will caught on as it is important to have one name for those lands.
