JFD's The World According to Modders

Didn't strike me as appropriate for the Lord God Whoward. I have something like that planned for someone else.

I make them, but you're free to propose a design for yourself that I'd implement. Though you can write up your own code - I just prefer to do the SQL in my own way.

I'd wager so - though that's up to TPangolin, and I'm sure there'll be none until CL is a civ :p

The second error is unavoidable when using RtP, but will cause no problems.

Hay, how did you get those correlations? My god that would save me so much time if they're generated by the game.
Compare the Database.log time-stamp to the time-stamps in the stopwatch.log

Just a question - who will be present in this?

In the Logs folder, there's a file called Stopwatch that gives the timestamp for when each file is processed. It helps narrow down SQL bugs, but it doesn't help if multiple files go through too quickly. Whoward mentioned it once, but I can't remember where.

People know what Gazebo's war theme is, right? People here are cool, right? :p

Ok, so here's Da Rulez (will put in OP):

If you want to be included as a civ, you need only ask, but the priority at which you'll be included is increased with the following:
  • Those with actual Civilizations - your city list derives from the capitals of each, so the more of these, the better.
  • Those who propose their own designs, including uniques, UA, Decisions.*
  • Those who propose their own art, including Leaderscene, map, civ icon, etc.
  • Those who code their own designs.

*Generally, designs take two uniques from across your civ mods, and come up with an original UA. Don't consider Gazebo or Whoward a precedent for unique everything, although you're free to make unique everything anyway.

Of course, you'll typically come after the original civs are re-added. Confirmed new civs, for when I originally intended to re-make this mod a year ago, include: Rawsasquatch, AgressiveWimp, Danmacsch, Tarscicio, DJSHenninger, Hypereon, senshidenshi, and ViceVirtuoso. I was going to have Neirai, too, but TP's new map has asserted his primacy over Neirai :D

~its a secret~

Thanks LeeS! *hm, how to represent you. Too helpful for a City-State, but not territorial enough for a civ*

One City Challenge civ, perhaps, but don't know what the Uniques would be in such a case.

or

Don't know if you would want to divert off into the Barbs Evolved or White Walker mods sort of territory, but you could make me the Barb civ, so I can 'help' everyone.
[edit]
Does the tech tree have any limits in the mod, or is the standard tech tree (more or less) used ?

All ancient ruins become LeeS!

Its the same for now, but in the - distant - future I wish to make things a bit more overhauley. I doubt this would change the tech tree, but, for instance, I would like to make the Social Policy trees something akin to: Tradition == Concept, Honour == Graphics, Rationalism == DLL, Commerce == PR, Aesthetics == Art, etc.

In that case - I don't imagine this will be a problem any way, but just in case :p - could you avoid making my civ for another 12 days at least? 15 cities will be better than 13. ;)
  • Those who propose their own designs, including uniques, UA, Decisions.*

Capital Geneva
Colors White on Sky Blue
UA Fight the Law - Random chance every turn that Secadecanationalist rebels will appear next to a foreign city, instantly causing a state of war between the target civ and the 16NP. This chance is increases with both empire size and excess happiness (not unhappiness).
UU Metsikhovne - Take from the updated Georgia when it's released, although warning - it's a complicated system with lots of moving parts. Make sure not to forget one!
UB Kaeserei - Steal from the rightfully-16NP Switzerland

Maybe I could also add "upon declaring friendship, automatically wipe out the HP of all the cities of your friend". To promote backstabbing, you know. :p
  • Those who propose their own art, including Leaderscene, map, civ icon, etc.
As of now I only have my civ icon:

White: #ffffff (R 255 G 255 B 255 or Red="1.000"/> <Green="1.000"/> <Blue="1.000"/))

UU and UB are already coded

I knew I should have started a thread on here for my civs....26 completed civs, not counting collaborations, and virtually unknown here.

I can't imagine a better leader screen for a bland civ maker like me than the Generic Civ's:

Uniques...hmmm, if I was going overpowered I'd use Santa's Snowman improvement and Halloween's Wolf Scout. More realistically, it would probably be Massachusetts' Caravel replacement and Georgia's Barracks replacement.

Lastly, UA: How would you code a civ to be unknown by all of the other civs?

Excuse me while i write up a design about City States with no compatibility.

Also, really excited to see the first 2 releases, now i'm wondering who we're gonna see next.

No smiley exists to sufficiently convey my shock, confusion and ecstasy. I can always help you with things about me if need be ;)

Are you still aiming for the full release to be on April Fools', JFD? I remember reading that somewhere...

Well it's good that I've finished trying to earn stuff in World of Warships for the moment - three civs isn't nearly enough to make a good city list right now, or choose uniques from (I think, if I was included, I would want to leave the UU/UB/UI choice to you as it's more exciting that way). :p

Also, what about the actual capital? Will that be something we can choose, or will that come from the "list of capitals" as well?

Wait, is JFD one of the Ork Boyz? o.o

But thanks for the rules! Now I have a 'T' for Project WORST! Good thing I've still got most of the assets I worked on last time I considered making a civ for myself... :D

Yay! :p I would prefer it if other modders designed my civ (instead of providing a design myself), though. That would be more fun IMO ;)

I knew I should have started a thread on here for my civs....26 completed civs, not counting collaborations, and virtually unknown here.

I suggest you make a thread here anyway. Better late than never! Don't say Nah, say Yah!

Does anyone seriously think I'd be important enough to feature in WatM if I didn't do something off my own bat? Didn't think so. At least this way I've contributed something to this mod other than squabbles with Natan and a friggin' emoticon.

=]

That may well be, but Jifford is doing a Natan Civ, if memory serves. Not that I'm at all jealous.

scapegrace has denounced natan

UA: Pax Everythingica
Opening a new :c5culture: Social Policy tree and advancing to a new Era generates +1 :c5goldenage: Golden Age point per turn. +10% :c5production: Production in all Cities for each Major Civilization with whom you have a Declaration of Friendship and a Defensive Pact.

---

So yeah, Golden Ages and/or Production is the theme here. =]

Wasn't Natan's UA getting +1 Gold after performing certain actions?

People know what Gazebo's war theme is, right? People here are cool, right? :p

4. I have a UA idea! Its somewhere in... my brain :p
