Please, only for JNES players only!

I would like for a vote here, considering what happened (read the game thread), I would like to know if the players really liked this game, and was worth 3 hours of my life to update everytime, plus whatever time it will take me to remake the excel file.

Please, be truthful. You may post here should you like, of course.

Also, I will launch a new JNES should this one close this weekend.

Hmmm
I don't want it to close...
But if it must (good reasons I mean...) so close it.
If no good reasons so keep it going...

And yes, I red the post in JNES game thread...

It is a good game, but the erez scandal and the fact that 3 hours is far too long, I think it should be Jason's procative to close it.

Erez.

1/ The world is not yours. Please change you avatar before I force my boot up your behind, in a kicking motion.

2/You are the main reason why this NES should die. You abused the fact that you had a 'friend' in Brazil and ****ed the game up through using the rules against themselves. All in all board game neses should not have the money transfer in them unless it is in a peace settlemet. Of course this is at the discretion of the MOD.

3/You just suck ass.

Jason, if it takes 3 HOURS to do an update to that thing (mine are 1 hours tops) i dont think it is worth stressing yourself out.

Dont worry about us, we can survive without it.

Great NES, cant wait for the next one. :goodjob:

hey, if you'll start another JNES, I don't see any reason why not to close this one when the situation is what it is.

I never really got a passion for S.Africa like I do/did in some other games,so if it is so much work for you,let it die in peace.

well i would close it, 3 hours is to much......u have other NES games too......and many dont even send orders in time.......

darn, I really liked that NES.

But I must agree that 3 hours are a lot of time, and recreating the xls file will take you another 3-4 hours away.

I really regret to say this, but if it must die, than let it die in peace.

NOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

i realy liked my India. jason, 3 hours is horrible, but then again its a prety large game (to say the least). i love games like this, but they always seem to come to an unfortunate end.

i think over the weekend i'll try to make some sort of automation system to make updates for games that size easier. not sure if it'll get anywhere........

anyway, i would REALY like it if you kept the game going. if you want help reconstructing the files, i'm willing to spend a lot of time helping.
not sure if you consider the 3 hour updates worth the effort though. i'm not even sure i'd be able to take that kind of punishment on a regular basis.

PS, is it just me or is this poll a little confusing? it took me 3 times reading it to make sure i was voting for the right option.

lol so many supportive people when they're losing!

Anyway, I agree 3 hours is too much, and like Roddy I will begin working on a program tomorrow that will streamline the process. What I'm currently considering is having a program where you simply copy and paste the orders from each country and the program does the rest. But then the order would have to be written specifically, ie; MAU to CON (2) or something like that.

Anyway Jason if you do keep this open, if the Excel spreadsheet was anything like the one I sent you I'll be happy to send it again, and edit it if need be.

mmmh....i learned the obsolete language of C++ at school....if i had the program i could easily write sometheing like what u propose

lol I know how to make it that it moves the units etc, I'm just currently considering how the hell I can get the units on the map to move...

Nemesis

that will be hard, needing some big long encoding and programing.....i would not even try...good luck tough

well, i used a manual spreadsheet, I did all the manual work since I am not too good at computers like you guys are, lol. Anyways, this will be open until friday, then I will go from the finaly majority.

Again, sorry about this nes. To tell you the truth, I didn't mind the update sooo much, since I was having fun with this nes. Its just that I am afraid the time is growing, and not shrinking.

As for the program - don't bother. Every nes is different in the sense that they have different rules. It wouldnt be fun to have all the same nes's running (which if you write a program one way, that is what you will have), and so I will continue to update the old fashioned way, though I would like to be tought a little more on excel, the basics, like how to make celA-1 plus cell A-2 equal cell A-3 lol.

Also, what is so confusing? The question on the poll is: Should I close JNES? and the answers are Yes and No, i tried to make it as simple as I could!!! ;)

Jason

well we need 7 more voted to officially close the NES, are there 7 more players who ahvent voted?

well, i cant actuaklly vote on the polls for some reason. but i think htat it should close considering the current cirumstances. if u want u can always open up a new one...
and 3 hours is far too much for anyone
