Jumpmasters 1B: Power is Knowledge (Vanilla, GOTM mod - Emperor - No research)

Plus RUS has only built Shakespeare so they have not acheived a GA thru Wonders.

With only 236 gold in the bank, wont they be more likely to draft their rifles, which means they will be consripts? And reducing city sizes for us.

As already stated, we should either ignore RUS or go after them now. If we go after them now should we sign up FRA in a MA as a distraction to RUS. FRA has the easier targets avilable on Barb Island, but will the AI think that way? We really only need to attack RUS if we are going Conquest.

I haven't even started my COTM03 game yet and it's due before the end of the month.
 
Well that did not work. I have 3 turns completed. I need some advice. Kwar's last city is ours and we have many troops on the isle. Who's next? BTW Russia declared war on us. Should I send them back north to hit Russia for a while or ignore her and set-up to attack the Vikings?

This may take me an additional day or two to complete. If you are really chomping at the bit I could upload the save tonight and you could start from where I left off. Let me know. As it is it will be difficult for me to find time to complete.
 
You only have two turns to finish up. I can wait. Besides this is a good spot to think about your questions.

RUS has to transport troops to get to us, so we should have warning before they land any troops. I'd keep some troops close to potential RUS landing sites in our territory.

How are we positioned for Arabia? Or a better question is where are the bulk of our attack forces?
 
The bulk of our forces are split between what I call Persian lands(Second island south of us) and NeoCarthage (middle of the western islands) Its a pretty straight shot to the west from the Persian lands to hit the Vikings.

Pink Arrow = where the shortest trip for our troops for the next battle are.
 
I think I'd go with the transport to VIK lands and start massing the other troops for an Arab invasion. Eventually the two forces could meet in the MIN territorty

The old KOR lands probably have enough troops to fend for themselves. We may need to make a few units there just to keep RUS honest.

@AlanH, have a safe and fun vacation. Look forward to playing another game with you in the future. This one should be done before you get back but that's what we thought when Karasu went on vacation also. :lol: Have a few for me. :beer:

Ummm :hmm: I'm confused by Mistfit's mnimap though. What date is that? We're at 1000 AD, and I thought the Vikings were languishing on a boat somewhere at the end of my turns. It looks more like mad-bax's save to me.

[EDIT] I meant 1000 AD, of course! Must have the QSC on the brain!

I was wondering about the Kwar statement myself, but I was preoccupied with trying to reach the end of AA in COTM03 and hadn't looked at the last save.

Hey Misfit, I forgot to tell you during Hurricane Charley cleanup we have had power crews down here for WE (Wisc. Energy) and the Orlando Magic coordinated with one of the Detriot teams (I think hockey) to obtain a large shipment of bagged ice to give away.

I'm so glad that storm missed me. Some section of Orlando are still without power and further SW is worse.
 
Sorry for the briefness of the turnlog, but there was not a lot happening. Most of it was empire management and moving troops to go after the Minoans. The 5 turns still took several hours to play.

buy World Map from FRA for our Map and 45gold - was hoping to fill in fog on Barb Island
Vikings have a galley next to Malmo / Khwar still hiding
Cycled thru all cities - any city producing only 1 shield I took off of military production - we should build temples, markets & aqueducts in those as need and then switch to wealth. Don't bother buying/building courthouses unless its in our production core. Also switched all BH builds to cavalry.

After 45 minutes of prep work & some final troop moves I hit enter to play my first turn.

IBT - saw 4 different VIK ships out sailing

Turn 1 - 1010AD
WW is hitting 42-50% have over a dozen cities rioting that were all happy on the end of prior turn

The last Mongol sacrifice must have worked. I attack the VIK galley near Malmo and sink it and eliminate them from the game.

WW still rampant at 42 to 50% - we are currently at war with neoCart (we declared) , OTTO (declared on us ??) , MIN (declared on us) & Khwar (we declared) - must be from Khwar

Make peace with Khwar - getting his wmap - he has ROP with everyone - even with their map I can't locate them
WW drops to 20%


INT - CART LB takes out a BH / RUS completes Copernicus'

Notes to next player
1) I have some cavs in transport to Minoan land. We need to go from Darhan (our mainland) to Nora by sea. Then go over land from Nora to mountain area between Hippo & Utica, then re-board and transport near Olus on Minoan land.
2) I got 3 settlers on Barb Island. There are 2 Minoan cities there, I was hoping they would grow to size 2 before attacking them.
3) Keep building/rushing temples for cultural expansion.
4) As 1 shield cities complete temples, marketplaces and aqueducts switch them to wealth.
5) 1 army is on Minoan land, the other 3 can not be transported until we get magnetisim, however we do really need it to win the game.
6) There are still 584 tiles unclaimed, we need to claim as many as possible.
7) We can make peace with the Minoans but until we get pushed I would not.
8) I was trying to position some ships to do the ship chaining thing again.

Due to the length of time to transport units the next player may want to take more than 5 turns. However it still takes a long time to play each turn.
