Why do we still use the letter K in English? why cant we just use C?
Rather we should get rid of C, since S and K both do what C does, but more explicitly, and just use "C" for the "CH" sound.
So ice and Ike don't sound the same?

Then again, we'd have to come up with new ways of determining pronunciation, due to words such as "puking" vs "pucking". I guess a double k instead of ck for pucking would work.
No, pucing and puccing.puking = pukeing
pucking = puking
How about what you do to a watch (wind) and the stuff that makes the trees move (wind)? Is there a problem there?
Yes, we'll need another letter.
No, we can just use common sense. theres loads of times when a word is spelled the same as another but you just know, because of context.
ELIMINATE THE LETTER K
That's the way we do it in Dutch...Then again, we'd have to come up with new ways of determining pronunciation, due to words such as "puking" vs "pucking". I guess a double k instead of ck for pucking would work.

ELIMINATE THE LETTER K
Why eliminate letters? I went to the bother of learning the nuances of this damn language I'm not going to have people changing it on me! Thats why I like to be a grammar nazi - I have a stake in keeping things the way I like to spell.
Because that would look stupid and it would add unneccesary confusion for anybody who's learning the language.Why do we still use the letter K in English? why cant we just use C?
