K8: MONSTER MAP - 362x362 map with 24 civs

As I think I should not play with only one interturn player, here is the new order:

Killer (up now)
Borealis (on deck?)
Aggie
Stapel
Swiftsure

This will also fit in better in my personal agenda as I will be in France 10-17 may to drive theTulpenrallye me = 219btw.

Killer finished his turns:

(1) Japan offers MPP. I laugh into Tokus furry-hatted face.
We lose our supply of ivory.

MPP draws Korea into war.

Eburacum taken. Harbor rushed right away.

(2) Londinium is ours, too.

(3)

(4) the World War is on: Iroquese ally with korea against us LOL
1 Cav lost (haven't yet bombarded anything, the best opposition are Med Inf) and Byzantinum is ours. Gordion comes cheaper: no losses.

(5)

(6) die by the numbers - the new Roman national sport.....

we get Sci, mm Palace-prebuild to give TOE in 8 and set research to RepParts in 8.

(7) we get Cumae (1 Musket and Spears defending, 1 loss). Ravenna, too, but that costs us another Cav.

(8) The number of Roman troops is stunning - but they will not even attack a single, unfortified Rifleman in the open! Veii is ours. I cut one road and will for that lose a Conquistador but this saves the stack of hurt Cav next to Veii from counterattacks.

I accidently move all troops out of a town - j instead of Crtl-j. DOH! Reloading takes an hour.

(9) Roma aeterna is now Roma hispanica
also, Seleucia changed hands.

(10) The Roman archers finally attack and manage to kill the one Rilfeman defending Veii. They then amazingly fail to kill the few Cavalries defending the city. I will never understand when and why the AIs attack and when and why not.
Caesarea falls - and the Spanish troops are streched to the limit. Actually, it would be a surprsie not to lose several of the cities back. i decide to kill as many Spears as possible (if they go back to cities they may be upgraded) and then sign peace. Caesare is not ideal for our Palace, but it will do. At least it is better than the earlier cities that were at the waters egde and too far south.

Done, peace for Miami.

Lux back down, I recommend we use Miami to rush a harbour and upgrade (thus heal and make faster) the ship going for the furs.

Here is the 1330 AD save

Heads-up: I'm finishing my turn right now, and it should be posted within a few hours. Sorry about the delay- RL has made things interesting for me recently.

1330 AD (0): Foreign advisor check: We are at war with: France, the Celts, the Iroquois, and Korea.
A spaceship victory is now really the only possible way to win now, but we have a good shot at that with ToE.

Domestic queue: 1) Check for at least 1 good defender in each city, and rax to produce if not there.
2) Check for happiness
3) Check for growth
4) Check for income
5) Check for science
6) Miscellaneous remaining infrastructure
7) Cavalry (to be disbanded into tanks later)

As we have an obscene amount of gold, and are going for an infra-heavy space race win against industrious civs that will have better RR development, I'm going to rush with 1 shield in the box whenever possible, never going below 10K to insure against future tech steals.

Of course, the build order for ex-Roman cities is culture max, then defenders, then all other improvements. We need to keep the corridor we have so that we can challenge the tank vs. spear myth when Motorized Transportation arrives. Coal Plants are also not being built as ToE means a Hoover build monopoly.

Also- unless they are the only defender in a city, or elite, all obsolete units will be disbanded/upgraded(if vet). We don't want to spend income on a bunch of regular warriors when we could be using it to get tanks.

(IT): Korea bribes Japan and Babylon to ally against us.

1335 AD (1): Palace rushed in Caesarea. More rushing.

(IT): We trade maps with the Arabs, to keep them happy.

1340 AD (2): Break from the rushing as I've burned through a lot of gold.

(IT): More map trading, this time with Persia. England and France sign a trade embargo against us.

1345 AD (3):

(IT): India offers us a MPP, which I decline. Rome and Korea sign a trade embargo against us. Mongolia and Korea sign a MA against us.

1350 AD (4): Santiago builds Bat Med. Egypt starts ToE.

(IT): Arabia and Korea sign a MA against us. Russia and Korea sign a trade embargo against us. We renew a 22gpt deal for Spices with Egypt. New deal with Vikings- Spices + Wines + WM + Sci Method + 33gpt for Gems + Incense + Espionage. I don't like making deals in the interturn, but given all the embargos against us, I think it's best to renew immediately rather than give Korea a chance to bribe our lux traedes away. Spices deal renewed with Carthage. Russia and Babylon sign a trade embargo against us.

1355 AD (5): We discover Replaceable Parts. Theory of Evolution builds in Barcelona, and we take the jump to Electronics, starting Hoover in and 8 turn research on Radio (it won't go any faster). Spices and Coal go to India for Furs, 1gpt, and WM. Our population makes those extra lux expensive right now, but with the embargo we need to keep all lux deals going while we can. Spices, Physics, and Metallurgy go to Shaka for Dyes, WM, and 4g.

Murcia, our top spt city, starts Hoover, and Leipzig, our second spt city, starts the Intelligence Agency.

(IT): The Vikings and Korea sign a MA against us, breaking the lux deal with the Vikes and depriving them of 33gpt. Ragnar cannot be trusted again. Renew Iron deal with Osman the miser.

1360 AD (6): Widespread happiness problems due to Viking backstabbing.

(IT): Aztecs and Korea sign a trade embargo against us. England and the Vikings sign a trade embargo against us. We sell Saltpeter to Hannibal.

1365 AD (7): (IT): Persia and Korea sign a military alliance against us. China and Korea sign a military alliance against us. Korea and America sign a trade embargo against us.

1370 AD (8): We trade Atomic Theory for Refining, 13gpt, ~500g to India.

(IT): Greece and Korea sign a military alliance against us. Babylon makes peace for a discount on Electricity, paying us 75gpt for it. (This is useful just to get Hammurabi to break alliances, and most AIs have Electricity already).

1375 AD (9): (IT): Egypt and Korea sign a military alliance against us.

1380 AD (10): Rioting in some cities due to the Egypt lux deal breaking down.

The next leader will have to deal with Korea, the Big Bad who's been initiating the worldwide dogpile. We can either bribe the other nations into switching sides, get Korea itself to break alliances (probably only done with giving them Radio after we get it), or ignore them (risks losing luxuries-probably not the best route.) Miami is acting oddly- it should have built an Infantry there, but it didn't show up. One should appear there rushed next turn.

None of the AI civs trust us not to attack them after we attacked Rome, as that appears to have shot our attitude completely, and I suggest figuring out the approximate time to the UN and prebuilding it to grab it the moment we get Fission- if the vote is called we will lose it, and probably to Cleopatra, who is capable of buying votes easily as the tech leader behind us. We have plenty of oil, and our own coal and rubber, making the main problem with the dogpile be happiness with few lux trades. There's a stack of cav sitting by Madrid that can be disbanded into tanks, or sent to Rome, as the peace treaty runs out- we may as well claim the land outside our new palace. Any captured cities will need culture rushed immediately- a temple and a cathedral ASAP as soon as they stop resisting.

I'm sorry. I tried to play my turns (I made peace for a lot of cash), but a turn takes an hour. That would mean that I'm finished at 5 AM. But I want to be rested when I go to Italy.

So, here's the roster. Stapel will be back soon to manage it:

Killer
Borealis (played)
Aggie (skipped)
Stapel (up now)
Swiftsure (on deck) are you on deck swiftsure?
