Most of our workers are near the core. Keep them moving forward toward cities to add to the network. There are a few strays in other areas where I rushed steamrollers. More steamrollers are already on the way.

The next target after Russian is Maghreb or Germany. Those two have the most cash in the game. In addition, we can beat up the tech leaders. Russia still has 18 cities left, so that war won’t start quickly. I want the rail-net completed before the next war. Several cities have completed factories and should wrap up the rest of the buildings shortly. The units should start pouring in the next set or two.

We have a lot of gold, I think I am going to rush a few buildings (like Barracks and Buddhist Communities, maybe even some Observatories and Universities).

3 Russian towns are missing from this map. One town is on the northern border of France. The other 2 towns are past the eastern border of Germany bordering Italy.

I'm not to worried about that. Rails and factories is the one point we usually slow down fighting. I still have a lot of cities building units without factories. They were waiting for others cities to start heavy troop pump.
 
Wow! Great turnset. I didn't expect the railnet to be anywhere near this level. Getting the thin rail backbone should only take another 3-5 turns at this rate.

Good catch with the Crystal Palace. I had indeed forgotten about it.
 
I realize this is not going to happen quickly. I think Germany should be our next target. They have some nice wonders we can use and are most likely to build the Olympic Game before the Maghreb. Also, we need to go through Germany to get at 2 Russian towns.
Therefore, I am going to be trading with the Maghreb and not trading with Germany. Further, even though we can pay a lump sum for techs, any trade I make with the Maghreb is going to have a per turn component. That way we will get a chuck of gold back, if the Maghreb declare war on us.

Based on how fast Germany is learning and building Wonders. I hope they are in their Golden Age. My hope is that I we will build both the Arms Race and the X-Ray Machine before Germany learns the tech.

I have no idea if Germany in a GA. However, Berlin is a shield powerhouse. Tons of mountains with irrigated grassland.

Germany's GA is triggered by (let's go?) Brandenburg Gate. They were building it in Leipzig in the 950 AD save.

Well I would trade it to with the Maghreb for Nationalism + gold and if Germany still have a large amount of gold sell it to them.
The benefit for Russia not having any gold to give us when we capture a town is that I just killed 2 Camels that where never upgraded.

Notes and Suggestions:
  • The railnet is almost finished. I think there are 5 towns not hooked up.
  • I started working on railing towns for better production.
  • The Enslaver fortified next to Almalik is waiting for the Inca worker to finish building the road he is working on.
  • I have several towns building WWI Infanty. It is to help guard workers and our railroads from having German or Maghreb troops standing on the rails blocking us.
  • I have many troops fortified around Moscow in anticipation of a war with Germany.
  • I did not try for National Monument since German had a 1 turn start on building it and I didn’t think I could build it before Germany.
  • Building Arms Race and X-Ray Machine Wonders
    • Both wonders take 600 shields to build.
    • Right now I would suggest that you treat our time to build Scientific Method as when it will be learned. Hopefully this will let us have prebuilds started before it is learned which might be enough of a lead to beat the AI yo both wonders.
    • Beijing can use Commercial Dock for a prebuild that starts 2 turns before we learn Scientific Method and switch to Arms Race before we choose the next tech (Electricity → Atomic Theory).
    • Earth Horse Ranch can use Battlefield Medicine starting when we need 3 turns to learn Scientific Method and switch to X-Ray Machine at the same time as Beijing.
    • Also, do forget to drop the research slider to zero (0).

I’m not sure how many Russian cities are left to get. Your teaser gave the impression just some strays that are difficult to reach.

Elephantium, please get that next block of wonders. Keep selling that tech. Money to keep rushing stuff is always good.

We are now in the easier war phase since with have the rail-net connecting cities.
