I didn't actually connect the fact that she was japanese in my head with the disaster in japan - I was searching for some sort of stereotype that included both japan and wives and failed to come up with any connection that was funny. It makes all too much sense now that I realize it's not a joke.

Not sure if many of your realised but NZ also had a rather large earthquake (not big size ways but big very big in terms of loss of life and damage.) a few weeks ago.
It's a bit weird but the earthquake in Japan has affected me more than the Christchurch one. In any case, Ayumi's immediate family are fine, but it been hard work making contact with her friends and extended family etc. Her and I will be going over to Japan on Saturday barring Godzilla or any other disaster.
An update for this game will go up tonight, but I can't commit to doing any others this week and next week will be a bit difficult as well.
However, I am really loathe to cancel this game as I am really enjoying it. (hopefully you guys, including the dead are as well)
I will update you guys later in the week.
