Mitt in Brownface

But they forgot to dye his hands

So? He sunbathes with his hands down his shorts. I always do. That's normal, isn't it?

Is anyone here skilled enough with photo-artsy-fartsy programs to whiten his collar and see how that alters his face pigment? Just curious.

Not enough to make it realistic. You can generally brighten the image, but he'll still look a little orange.

Grasping at straws. If the President can't beat Mitt Romney, based on the issues, then he doesn't deserve to win. But, we just can't have a race that is about policy can we? America is one huge clown car and I'm just sick of it.

Looks a bit strange, but given the number of gaffes and self inflicted wounds, this was probably accidental

If you guys want to get away from stuff like this, vote for Romney. Then, in four years when things are so much better, we'll be able to look forward to positive campaigning like this...

He has no influence over whether he gets a spray-tan?
Nope! It's driven by his handlers' perception of what the most advantageous skin color for him to emulate would be.

The issue with that is that the polls would suggest that more and more Americans are beginning to feel that way now. They believe the economy is getting better. They believe that country is turning in the right direction. Consumer confidence is up. The housing market is showing signs of strengthening. Inventories are way down in most areas. All the signs are there that hiring is about to/should pick up. Unfortunately, for this President, that won't be apparent, if it happens, until after the election.

IIRC he used his "brown" look when he was speaking to Hispanics. I'm a bit nervous about how he will appear when he goes for the black vote.

American presidential elections have been like this since time immemorial. I think we've evolved from the time Democrats ran on a platform of preventing Father Abraham from forcing mass miscegenation on the virgin white daughters of northern white men.

USA #1

For s split second I thought this thread was about Romney wearing Scott Brown's face ala Silence of the Lambs

Hee hee. Porfirio Diaz supposedly disguised his brown complexion with makeup when meeting with American and Europeans and then rubbed it off when he addressed his own people.

Judging by the orange tint, I think Mitt must have been in New Jersey or something.

A Republican presidential candidate seriously trying to get the black vote?
