Most incomprehensible English accent?

Yeah, although quite a hardcore Glaswegian one.

A while back, there was a thread about "worst English accent" with Bostonians winning by a landslide. So here is an equally meaningful thread (completely meaningless). This was inspired by this thread and the story within:

So what is the most incomprehensible English accent?

For Americans, I would have to say Minnesotan (Minnesotian?). My brother had a long distance girlfriend from there once. She would call and ask for my brother, but in a very quick, seemingly jumbled manner. I would then ask her, "what did you say?" And she would say the exact same thing again. Then I would ask her again, and she would say exactly the same again.

Outside of my native US, I would have to go with Irish.

I have to agree. The Irish accent is the only one I cannot understand at all, even when repeated. There is a doorman in my building who speaks it, and when he talks to me, I just smile a nod a lot. I don't know why Bostonian is so hard to understand. Makes sense to me. I can understand all of the American and nearly all the British ones, including Bostonian, New Yorker, Southern, Mid-Western, Californian, Cajun, Cockney, Scots, and Aussie.

Cajun... around southwest Louisiana... if anyone has ever heard former NFL quarterback Bobby Hebert speak that's what it sounds like although in some cases WORSE.

Here's a great recording of a newfie accent. It's a little soft, but you get the idea.

Here's another good old-school Canadian maritime accent, from Prince Edward Island

The Irish are hard to understand. I have Scottish relatives, which helps, and relatives in the North for Yorks/Lancs accents. Southern is easy to understand, and I live in the Midlands (Stratford-upon-Avon) so Brummie accents are easy.

how far south, ive heard some people talk so incomprehensibly that it just sounded like one long mumble
On average the worst is in tennesee, northern georgia, northern luisiana, West Virginia, Virigina, North Carolina, and southern Pennysilvania. But I have heard pleanty of idiots who talk in a thick accent up here too(Northern Illinois). though their accents are comprihendable, just make them sound very dumb.

Oh wow, worst accent is probably cockney. (Is that an accent?) But otherwise, I would say Chicago. We talk way too fast, and sometimes, I can't even understand what I'm saying. And we hit a's too hard.

Chicaago.

EDIT: at Future: Where do you live? I live right at the border between Illinois and Wisconsin, near Waukegan and Great America.
