My hero is...

Hero is such a strong word...how about inspiration? ;)

Mine...

Frank Zappa. Musical genius.

If you take hero to mean someone that inspires me then.....

Maynard James Keenan (vocalist with Tool and A Perfect Circle)

Why? Because he refuses to become a 'rock star' in the media whore sense, and he (and Tool in general) are very pro-free thinking and encourages people to use their voice.
Really? I prefer John Maynard Keynes. A few letters different, but a world of difference. ;)

Well, besides the obvious answer of Jesus, I have a few people i look up to

Steve Young. One of the best QBs to ever play the game. Tough, Smart, and a great human to boot.

John Popper-Harmonica badass

My mother-who raised us when things went to hell. My mom is a saint

well besides God, My Parents, people I am always around, etc... It would have to be George Dubyah Bush... He has so much people hating him, yet he is doing a great job! ;)

My hero is every soldier of America.

Jesus
My Priest
My Godfather

God and Jesus and my dog

Lewis & Clark, they explored the frontiers of America and pushed the bounds of knowledge without actually having to kill any Indians. None of their expedition died either, except for the guy with the burst appendix, but that was unrelated.
Leonardo Da Vinci excelled in so many different areas and is the first and foremost Renaissance man.
Ben Stein is all kinds of awesome. Who else is a well respected economist and an entertainer?
And last but not least, my Grandmother, who pulled our family out of cracker Appalachian origins to become a group of educated intellectual people. Thanks grandma.

There are 15 people I admire greatly:

Here is some info from a genuine Scotsman:

The real William Wallace was radically different from the hollywood version.

He was a bit of a hooligan.

Mabye Jack the Ripper is to? He does list Metallica and George S. Patton as his heros, so..

Well, it is best not to base your hero worship on a very rubbish Smell Gibson flick.

PS
Patton was a capable commander, but Sell-outica? No comment.
