Try reloading the previous save, and another save, and see what happens.
If your PC still crashes, might be the PC, try a reinstall of Civ first.


If the othersaves load ok, then ask the player before you to delete the save he sent to you,
and then to replay his turn. See if that makes a difference.

Not quite enough.

hmmmm, now it is me with the problem.

- civ crashes when i try to load the save -


As a test, I downloaded both of Majic's sends to skellora, and tried to load both of them.
Both of them I had no problem, but it asked me for Majic' password both times.


So, Skellora, please delete the save for me on your harddrive, and replay your turn and resend please.
