Abaddon: Eh. Seems I mostly connect him to "finding loopholes in the rules". I've never really had a long-term
playing experience with him other than that. Shame.
alex994: Very Chinese, though it's mostly his own fault (Guangfei?). Solid, quiet, risk-averse, and usually more of a long-term threat.
Anonymoose: I'd say "South Alabama represent" except I hated living there. A bit crazy; always funny.
Azale: The king of dropped projects and unsent orders. Currently doing an okay job of correcting that impression. When he does send orders, is fairly competent, although perhaps a little too easily manipulated. A member of our Avatar Cabal.
Bill3000: Relatively recent recruit from OT and #fiftychat. Also the only NESer I've ever met in person (not counting Supermath). So far, he has quite the knack for being lucky, which is much more useful than being skilled. Newest member of the Avatar Cabal.
Birdjaguar: Possibly the most successful mod of the last three or four years. The only gauge I have on his playing style is that he can always surprise you, and that he likes East Asia.
das: Best mod ever, and one of the best players ever. Doesn't seem to ever have issues getting into character, especially for despotic monarchies. Consistently excellent at story-writing in ways that I wish I could match if I still wrote stories with any regularity. Seriously, he's very awesome, or would be if he ever finished up developing his latest NES project.
Eltain: No clue.
flyingchicken: Erratic, unpredictable, and off-the-wall (usually mixed with some kind of entertaining-ness), but when he can be assed to send proper orders he's pretty damn good. If he actually stays interested in his projects or countries, they usually turn out quite well. One of the better of the more recent recruits.
germanicus12: Haven't really had much experience with him after DaNES I, which was a
long time ago.
hbar: You were right, I don't really know who you are.
Immaculate: Not a whole lot of experience with him yet. Seems a bit harebrained. Apparently he's good at running sci-fi NESes?
Kal'thzar: A kilt-wearing obsidian spear-wielding...physicist?

Gotta say, I agree with das, here: loads of potential, but hasn't managed to get the stars to align properly yet.
Kraznaya: Been here an awful long time to have had virtually no long-term experience.

As a NESer, can't seem get stereotyped as Chinese no matter how hard he tries. Regardless of actual skill - hard to judge with such a sample size - does a very good job of
seeming to have skill. Also has written some of the funnier orders I've ever seen. The Bad Cop to my #nes Good Cop.
Lord_Iggy: Last time I basically just associated him with Turks. These days it seems he prefers playing more out-of-the-way countries where he can sit by himself and fool around. He's also very stereotypically Canadian, with everything that implies.

Another of the Avatar Cabal.
Luckymoose: Fun times. The grand desert invasion in NES2 VI is one of the more unfortunate errors a NESer has ever made. Lots of pluses and minuses on this ledger, but I think they mostly balance out. It's a shame he hasn't played anything consistently in awhile, but then again, neither have I. Charter member of the Avatar Cabal.
Matt0088: I have this vague impression of a fairly decent NESer who doesn't stick to any one project (or country) for very long.
Milarqui: lolberia. Other than that, never really had any interactions with him.
Ninja Dude: Possibly the most successful recent member ("recent" defined here as "post-AFSNES", rather archaically). Fairly good mod and fairly good player, from what I hear. Member of the Avatar Cabal.
North King: Mostly lolindia. Almost never been in his NESes, almost never played with him in the same NES, weirdly, so I know him much better via chat than anything else. Fairly good reputation, though, especially at designing cultures and countries.
Northen Wolf: One of the FFHers. If I'm the good cop on #nes, he's the Really Good Cop, maybe even the Permissive Cop.
Omega124:
Not a whole lot. Didn't seem too interested in DaNES II.
Owen Glyndwr: Likes the British Isles. I imagine he could be fairly competent if he ever attempted to do anything. Charter member of the Avatar Cabal.
Perfectionist: Even if he did waste his talents by going into physics, possibly one of the best players ever with one of the best historical knowledge bases ever, even if he doesn't show it by not playing in a whole lot of NESes. Quite reliable. I wish more than anything that I could have found a way to get in character in his NES. Seems to be unduly fond of Northern Europe (minus the Celts), though.
spryllino: One of the more recent good recruits. Still a bit raw, but has quite the potential and knowledge base.
taillesskangaru: A fair amount of raw potential, but not a whole lot of experience. Another one of the guys that tends to get down on himself too easily.
Tecknojock: Aggie. Um...
Terrance888: What? Your CHARLES LI is evolving!...but seriously, still very random, but significantly less annoying. This is a Good Trend.
The Farow: Isn't around nearly enough to give me anything other than a vague warm feeling about him.
Thlayli: Another one of us that passes for an 'old guard' these days. Perhaps overly fond of implausible plans, migrations, and World War II alliances, not to mention the Papism, but still great fun and fairly skilled. Member of the Avatar Cabal.
thomas.berubeg: An FFHer; I honestly don't know much other than that!
Yui108: Still working out a lot of the kinks, but still very young with lots of potential. Too bad he's a Papist.
ZeletDude: Quiet. I know more about his OT posting habits than his NESing ones.
