Jet Aircraft
Reveals: Jet Propulsion
Enables: Jet Propulsion

I need you to tweak these. I think it would be better if you changed the names to ...

"Jet Aircraft Factory" to "Jet Engine Factory"

"Jet Aircraft" to "Jet Engines"

In addition have the Jet Engine Factory require Parts AND Titanium. And then replace +1% :gold: with Titanium Wares with Fiberglass. So like ...

Jet Engine Factory
Req Tech: Jet Propulsion
Obsolete Tech: None

Req Resources: Parts AND Titanium
Cost: 1350
Req City Size: 6

- Added your Sport Buildings.

- Changed the Jet Factory. Do you want to change the Icons as well?

I also made 2 buildings of my own: Drop Zone and Base Jumping Site (or "Side"?)
What I want to do them is:

Drop Zone:
50% Faster Training of Paratrooper, Modern Paratrooper.

Base Jumping Site:
+5 XP for Paratrooper, Modern Paratrooper.

Are there Tags for it?

Sure, if you think it would be better.

50% Faster Training of Paratrooper, Modern Paratrooper.

That's very funny I had them on the list already as other sports buildings. What stats did you give them?

Are there Tags for it?

I don't recall there being XP for specific units. However you can do faster production of specififcic units. Such as ...

Code:
			<UnitClassProductionModifiers>
				<UnitClassProductionModifier>
					<UnitClassType>UNITCLASS_TRADE_CARAVAN</UnitClassType>
					<iProductionModifier>50</iProductionModifier>
				</UnitClassProductionModifier>
			</UnitClassProductionModifiers>

Drop Zone
Req Tech: Extreme Sports
Obsolete Tech: None
Req Buildings: - Currently None, but I think Airfield or Airport would fit.
Req Resources: Aircraft
Cost: 1900
Req City Size: 6
Upgrades To: -
Requires Electricity: No
+1 :culture:
+3 :gold:
+1 :)
Should get: +50% faster Training of Paratroopers
Should get: +3 Air Pollution

Base Jumping Site
Req Tech: Extreme Sports
Obsolete Tech: None
Req Buildings: -
Req Resources: NONE
Cost: 1900
Req City Size: 6
Upgrades To: -
Requires Electricity: No
+1 :culture:
+1 :)
+1 Free Celebrity
Should get: +5 XP for Paratroopers
Dang, should also require Peak in City Vicinity... I'll change that among other things you might have to concern.

I'll change the Jet Icons when I made the next set of buildings.

I think the Airfield is good since it doesn't get replaced like the Airport gets replaced by upgrade buildings.

As for base Jumping I was thinking of maybe we should use some of the bridge buildings I have. Such a Large Suspension Bridge.

In addition I was thinking of a Bungee Jumping Site. But I am not sure how different it is from Base Jumping.

1) Also, an Airport has so much traffic that the airspace is not allowed for skydivers. So an Airfield would be much better.

2) Well, then it must be: Requires Peak OR Bridge OR Skyscraper OR [basically any World Wonder that is higher than around 60m / 200ft]

3) Well, as different as Soccer and Basketball. I think Basejumping is MUCH more dangerous. But to be honest, I think having hunderts of simple +1 :) , +1 :health: , +1 :culture: buildings at the sport techs. They should be more unique like the Drop Zone trains your Paratroopers faster.

Thanks! :goodjob:

1. Why Shopping District for the Gym?

2. We should probably get rid of the "Size 6 requirement"... For Factories this might make sense, but for a Yoga School? Or a Basejumping Site? Not really... I think we should review the whole "requires City Size of X" thingy soon...

3. COOL idea with the Underwater Hotel! What about a Jungle Treehouse Hotel (Bonus with Parrots, Elephants...), a Savanna Hotel (bonus with Elephants)... ?

1. To keep it in line with most of the other chimerical buildings. Why do you have another idea? Note that the Shopping District is an Auto-Build Building.

2. Oops! I did not want size 6 for the Yoga School. Just the Gym since the Shopping District requires size 6.

3. Hmm interesting ideas. I will have to think on those and write up something for them later. Nice brainstorming! :goodjob:

1. Agreed.

2. That would be weird to code for. If you have an idea of how that would be written in the expression system be my guest.

3. Ok then write up a building for Bungee Jumping too. You obviously see the patterns of these types and have some great ideas on how to make them more unique.

1.) No I was just wondering since you don't need a Shopping District to have a Gym. Also, I think the Shopping District, Trading Post etc doesn't make sense anymore since they are autobuild.

3.) Hehe, Adventure Hotels might be a nice new group of buildings:

- Lunar Hotel

- Space Hotel

- Extraterristic Planet Hotel (I don't want to call it "martian Hotel", but can't think of a good name)[Bonus if the planet has rings]

- Astroid Hotel (You know Futurama? They have an Astroid Belt with one House on every Astroid, looks like a stereotype suburb^^)

- Polar Hotel (North or Southpole)

- High Altitude Hotel (like, on the top of the mt everest or other very high mountains)

- Flying Hotel (In a giant "Zeppelin")

- Desert Hotel

- Underground Hotel (have you seen "The Core"? They build a "ship" to reach the Planet's core and on their way, they arrive in a giant Cave full of large diamonds. Such a cave would be a great place for an expensive Hotel ;)

- Underground Hotel 2: Earlier, just in a regular cave. How about "Cave Hotel"?

- Exoplanetary Hotel

- Deep Sea Hotel

2. Hmm... I was thinking of "requires Bridge; + :) with Peak in vicinity", but it could aswell be the other way round... A plain "+ :)" from higher buildings with Extreme Sports is also stupid because there are so few basejumpers. And most of the time, people are more annoyed of them, especially if one of them dies... Other option would be splitting it into two buidings: Structure Basejumping and Cliff Basejumping. But that's too much for such a low impact building I think. It's probably fine the way it is now. Even if I still want it to give more XP to Paratroopers. Maybe they should have their own CC?

3. I will.

@Faustmouse

3. We already have an Orbital Hotel and I have been holding of the Lunar, Martian and Space buildings until later (I have a HUGE list)

We do have a Galactic Cantina building already that sorta of fits this.

Since there are many kinds of bridges I think it would be best if it was the last bridge which would be Large Suspension Bridge. And really most of the other earlier bridges would probably be too short anyways. Having :) from Peaks is a good idea too.

To be more precise, bungee jumping can be done from a structure suspended above a void, so something like a bridge or a crane (for the gameplay, I think that having a bridge as prerequisite is ok)

Base jumping is a totally different thing. It's like parachuting, but instead of jumping off a plane you jump off a cliff, a skyscraper, a bridge or other structures. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BASE_jumping

I think that base jumping should require peak OR skyscraper (maybe also the bridge, but this is optional I think)

Yeah I know, but I was looking at it from a gameplay perspective. Then we could also at a Paraskiing Site, a Bodyflying Arena, a Freeclimbing Site, a Bouldering Site...
You really want this much buildings that aren't really buildings? You need almost nothing special for cliff basejumping. Same for Bungee, just knot a "bumgee rope" on a Crane/Bridge.
I'm pro more buildings, but they should be unique and not just a copy of all the other Extreme Sport Buildings.

That was my idea too, but you can't have a "Requires Terrain X OR Building Y" :(

AIAndy's Expression System can do it. It would be something like ...

Code:
<ConstructCondition>
 <Or>
  <Has>
    <GOMType>GOM_TERRAIN</GOMType>
    <ID>BONUS_PEAK</ID>
  </Has>
  <Has>
    <GOMType>GOM_BUILDING</GOMType>
    <ID>BUILDINGCLASS_SKYSCRAPER</ID>
  </Has>
  <Has>
    <GOMType>GOM_BUILDING</GOMType>
    <ID>BUILDINGCLASS_LARGE_SUSPENSION_BRIDGE</ID>
  </Has>
 </Or>
</ConstructCondition>

Which should come out to Peak OR Skyscraper OR Large Suspension Bridge.

Are you sure that a Minigolf Course should be more expensive than a Cruiseship Port (as an example)? I think the sports buildings in general are too expensive for the small revenue they give.

Costs are based on ls612's building cost chart. Basically whatever column on the tech tree determines their prices.
