That's what I had d/l, but there are only 3 pcx's in the leaderheads folder - most leaderheads have 9 in that folder.

I am having real trouble trying to find the download (danishciv-1.5.1.zip) for the Danes, can anyone help?

I was able to install this mod, but there are some strange effects in the diplomacy. Danes don't offer any kind of greeting, and usually the goodbye says something like #AIWHATEVER . Some of the intermediate steps in diplomacy seem readable, though.

I have not changed my diplomacy.txt, and I see that it is not included in the zip. I think that is why. According to the tutorial here at

there are changes to make in diplomacy.txt, depending on the number of civs.

I think I remember someone on Apolyton that posted a longer diplomacy.txt for up to 31 civs. Maybe I'll try it instead...

I found the 31 civ diplomacy.txt file at Apolyton... but I think it's either buggy, or just too big. I'm going to try making a smaller, 17 civ diplomacy.txt with the editor from Pesloco "Save The Possum" and see how that goes.

Any time a new civ is added, you have to expand diplomacy.txt (this file is in your TEXT folder under Civilization III)

I'll attach the one I'm using here, in case anybody else needs it, or the authors here decided to include it in a v1.6 of the Danish civ. Keep in mind that if you ever add an 18th civ after Denmark, you have to add more text to the file. (I used Pesloco's editor to add the 17th civ text.)

The new text is not specific to Denmark or Christian IV, because it's just copies of things all the other civs say. You could replace Denamrk with some other 17th civ in the future, and you'd get the same words.

Unfortunately, i had forgotten all about my DanishCiv MOD, in fact there won't be made any new updates.

If anyone wants to continue work on this MOD, i will gladly hand you the rights. (Or i could GPL it? )

I'm not doing any work on DanishCiv anymore, in fact, I haven´t even bought Conquest, but you may consider DanishCiv under the GPL license (http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/gpl.html)for anyone to make any changes.

OT: I've always seen it this way also, but my dictionary includes Denmark as well. Maybe it's because nowadays people think Scandinavians = former Vikings (who were from Denmark, Norway and Sweden). It doesn't matter really.

It's nice to see a danish mod, I'll try it soon. And keep the Precisian, the longboat belongs to a Viking civ.
