Iggy I feel llike the island should be wider for the sake of aesthetics, or possibly tilted to be more at an angle?
Wait, have I responded to this? It does sound like a great idea. (Just noticed it in my instaquote, unresponded. So this idea has just kinda been bouncing around in my mind for a while, and it's taken me a while to figure out how to word it so that it could actually be turned into a workable NES.
Basically, my idea is that you have one big company/ organization/ whatever that deals with paranormal/supernatural/alien/ whatever crap. They receive missions, and then issue them out to teams to deal with them. Instead of having teams be made up of players and therefore probably make the NES go at a snail's pace, I'd have players take control of certain teams. Updates would be made up of reports on certain team's progress, what they find, who got ripped in half by a flying psychic squid, and other stuff like that.
Anyone interested? Don't know how soon I'd be able to start it, but it seems like an NES that I wouldn't have to dedicate too much time too, and it wouldn't require much time to play. Just tell your team to do whatever and you're all set. Multiple teams could be sent, leading to some amount of cooperation and planning however (as well as backstabbing and gloryhounding)
I'd bring it up with bombshoo, but I think it looks quite good. It used to hug the coast a lot more, until we moved it and gave it some of that widening and rotation you mentioned.Iggy I feel llike the island should be wider for the sake of aesthetics, or possibly tilted to be more at an angle?
Now are you keeping the alliances intact or will this be a 'clean slate' wwII?
I am somewhat seriously considering making another foray into modding, finding that for the next month or so I have a comparative wealth of free time. The NES I'm considering running is a NESlite of the Second World War starting in 1936. Stats would be minimal, stories would be encouraged, etc. If interest is expressed, there would be a pre-thread to post reservations. I at least want players for all the major players in the war. Suggestions to tweaks for the map, or stats, are more than welcome. I do plan on venturing into the Spanish Civil War and fixing the map accordingly.

(thanks to Plexus for the base map)
Stats Example
United States of America
Republic: Franklin Roosevelt
Capital: Washington D.C.
Economic Power: 6/0
Army: 20 Infantry, 700 Armored
Navy: 80 Squadrons
Air Force: 800 Air Groups
1EP would by 10 Divisions/Groups/Squadrons of any type. Nation stats are at best derivative/basic at worst, completely arbitrary.
