If I always start new games and clear the cache. The crashes are random, sometimes 250 times 350 times in one round etc. No idea why
I got some around t350+.
My most common one in recent versions have been when opening the tech tree in late game.
Possible the game struggles with too many improved tiles.
 
Does the trade value need to be that wide range? Why not limiting the trade value to a short -32768 to 32768? or any low negative values to either say impossible or have anything at above a certain limit as I'm desperate for it ?

It wouldn't be noticeable. The enormous negative value that we see is probably just an UI bug, so I wouldn't worry about it.

I'm not sure that City Limits (v7), Greatest Cities(v11), and Raze Capitals and City States (v1) are compatible with VP. I recommend you to delete those.
The rest of them are fine.
 
still struggling with happiness a little, whilst i like the new system, i cant seem to crack it even at lower levels ive gone for standard speed huge map i have 8 cities im having to lock growth for x number of turns my cities are level 8 and when im at 100% happiness i unlock the growth (of course they grow a level in one turn) to level 9 and back to 40% and repeat so it doesnt go nuts

Do you unlock all the cities at the same time? Cause one city shouldn't swing empire happiness that much.

i was doing then realised unlocking all cities can make it swing.. this has also had a side effect im currently on turn 200 with just hitting renaissance it looks roughly 220 turns until future tech i feel im behind than doing a 3 city wonder/great person spam. Past versions i could do wide play with many more cities and end up finishing much sooner

I agree. It is similar when you become a pariah state by the world congress & cannot even do deals/alliances with other civs that have been sanctioned. Whereas in the real world all the sanctioned countries join together in anti west alliance. I wish you were allowed to do that in game, as why would I or any other sanctioned country care what the rest thought.

Breaking the settling promise will only result in a penalty from Japan.

The only global promises are the "don't declare war" promises.

The AI already does ignore the opinions of backstabbers they don't like.
 
Finally had a chance to get a game going with this version. Fantastic job fellas.
The ai is is militarily very competitive once again. Both against the player and other ai. Both on land and at sea.

I find the happiness to be a reasonable challenge. Top tier cities can grow fairly steadily with occasional stop city growths.

Weak cities have to be toggled off at around 8 pop.

And my capital can grow massively.

The ai trades seem to be fair regarding strategic resources. But outa whack when it comes to luxuries.

Which to be honest is welcome to a warmonger like myself with a massive army upkeep. But probably not as intended.
