Darkness you disappoint me on your pick....I say Ditka 45.....Panthers...3. The best thing the Panthers have going for them is the weather here is supposed to be in the 50's F (10 C).

My view:
Both defenses are strong and they will control the game. So it will come down to which offense can make that one (or two) big play. Let's just say I trust Delhomme more than Grossman/Orton, especially since Delhomme's got Steve Smith to throw to... Grossman has played in a grand total of 8 real NFL games and he has no playoff experience. Delhomme's been to the Superbowl, where his Panthers actually put up a great fight against the Patriots.

Let's face it, Whomp, it is still a quarterbacks league. Just look at what happened in Cincinnati on sunday. Palmer got hurt on Cincy's first offensive play. Bengals lose....

Secondary reason: I gotta stick with my preseason superbowl pick ;)
Panthers-Colts :)

I agree with Darkness, the Panthers do so well under pressure. in 2003 they were a pretty good team, 11-5, and made it to the superbowl because they play so well under pressure. They still had a great game against New England, Jake said it was the best game he ever played, but it didn't matter because Tom Brady is so good. Also, does anyone remember/know about Foster's 1 yd TD run against the Eagles in the NFC championship :) ? A toss to the right, caught at the five yard line, 4 eagles guys grabbed on him and he dragged all of them to the endzone.

Also, in my paper the Bears were saying "The Panthers are overrated, but we're not putting them down, just us up." :crazyeye: . They'll be fired up.

About NE vs Denver, new england is also like the panthers in that they play well under pressure. I expect a convincing win for the Pats.
