None Shall Pass [Game Thread - Concluded]

Sorry Cami, you make sense in your assertions and if the situation was different then I would very much consider changing my vote. Having considered all the options and calculated the odds it still comes out that you must swing today.

I'm ok with Unvote; Vote: Spaceman if all else fails the known cultists can be knight killed or lynched later on.

One would hope so, certainly.

It's a very difficult choice, I grant you.

It's just a shame that you specifically noted in your PM to me that your injury was as a result of Gandalf's ability and that it was mentioned in the update. You even mentioned that it wasn't Vader's lightsabre that hurt you, so quite how your injury could be mentioned in the update that specifically involved everyone's favourite West Country villain and yet didn't have you being attacked by him is anyone's business (or, more accurately, everyone's business).

Ok, so your saying that the main inconsistency in my story was whether my injury was/wasn't mentioned in the update? Indeed, it seems like I was mistaken about that (as I said, I thought my ability would block injuries as well, which left me as the only candidate for DV's victim, as far as I could erroneously tell).

Camikaze, Im well aware that LotR cult benefits from your death. But your cult has been shown to have much greater killing power than LotR cult, thus making you the greater threat to either town.
Furthermore, even if LotR town is outnumbered tomorrow by cultists, we no longer have to worry about SW town playing to get converted, so they'll want to team up and kill LotR cult for obvious reasons.

The only team that benefits from you staying alive is SW cult. Every other team increases their chances of winning by effectively eliminating SW cult.

Amongst other things, Spaceman, yes. You really should take better care with your powers, especially those one-use (cover) abilities, eh?

Now if only amongst the plethora of minor scanners we have in the game, one of them could actually detect if someone was wounded or not, that would easily sort out the issue, wouldn't it?

vote: spaceman. There are a lot of inconsistencies with everything he's said today, and I'd like to see how deep he digs his hole tonight.

I'm having problems accessing my spreadsheet right now, but I believe the count is:

spaceman98 - 10

Camikaze - 8

Not Voting - SouthernKing

I agree with that tally. As to the lynch, it's a really hard decision and I hope it's not one that dooms LotR Town, but so far SW Cult have shown that they are the only ones actually killing in the game, so with both vigilantes down, the SW/LotR imbalance is only going to be exacerbated over time. Either way, both Spaceman and Camikaze need to swing and if we lynch Camikaze today, we may well have a landslide lynch for Spaceman tomorrow.

Unvote: Spaceman. Vote: Camikaze.

Well, this is interesting. Whatever happens, a cultist goes down today and I genuinely don't know which I prefer.

Alright, I obviously don't trust Cami, but his arguments are pretty solid. I really have no idea which cult is more dangerous if allowed to grow more, but unvote, vote: Cami because serpent heads and stuff.

The one that hasn't suffered any deaths yet. The one that screws LOTR townies over more and more every night, simply by virtue of its continued existence. Killing is the only way I can reduce LOTR townie numbers, but LOTR cult can, has and will do so via conversion. Meanwhile, you can't reduce LOTR cult numbers without a night kill power, which you can only gain through co-operating with me. Once I'm dead, your only recourse will be lynching and you can't reduce the numbers of an expanding cult with that alone. You might be reluctant to let me live because you think you might be a target of mine. But look at the situation from my perspective - who would I be looking to kill tonight? Obviously, a LOTR cultist. They are the biggest roadblock in the way of my continuing existence, and presumably have kills up their sleeve. It doesn't make sense to worry about me killing you if you vote for spaceman.

I'm not asking for trust, as we're not on the same team. I'm asking for something mutually beneficial, given the particular situation we find ourselves in this round.

I'm fairly sure "we will get to killing the LOTR cult tomorrow" has been the refrain for the last four days or so.

This except for most of the game

Yeah, I say we lynch the one (preferably the subject of that awesome Babylon Zoo song, which the dubstep remix totally ruins :p) today, lynch the other tomorrow. That way, are we all happy?
