NotW XLI: Chronomancy Redux [Game Thread]

It's very unlikely Harkonnen is a chronomancer either guys, so yes, he can have all the items and that'll keep anything out of bad hands and let decisions be made. It'll just be disappointing if we're missing out on other opportunities.
So, you -kind of- agree with me on sending stuff to HarkonnenII but you still go berserk on me?
Earthling said:
I think we could slowly, methodically try to find the chronomancer allies of BSmith but if people have other evidence or grudges against these others I don't care too much to get in the way. Neither Autolycus nor Save_Ferris have explained anything really to my satisfaction but the cases against them are equally not excellent.
No cause is excellent unless we get someone scanned or they're killed by Sir Knight.
Earthling said:
And no, I'm not a Chronomancer for talking about this nor could I really say anything for sure about the other people who proposed likely wrong theories, if they are scum being misleading on purpose or not, regardless the town just needs to know.
That's a suspiciously specific denial.
Earthling's reasoning above is good, and I'd already got a bad feeling about Red Spy from his day one behaviour, so...
What Day One behaviour?
Just had a thought while loading the dishwasher...

I think the storm is a timelimit on the game. If we reach the fourth day, we all die. But I suspect that as long as a chronomancer is alive, time rewinds just before we get there.

If I'm right, and guessing 3 chronomancers and 3 demons... we'd better protect the last of the chronomancers. If there is one. If not, we'd better get the next two lynches right or it's curtains.
WHAT? 'Let's keep alive the scum'? Mergle, you're even scummier than civplayah. How would you even know what the chronomancer(s) can do?
Oh, shut up, you.
Maybe landlubber's the mafia? :p

Such scumtastic bandwagonning, fos:Auto! Third on it, aren't we?

NotW XLI: Night Two - [PHASE 12]

Tempers roared and the crowd did not reach an easy consensus this day, as the yelling increased towards sunset. Two main suspects had surfaced this day, The Seer Mergle and Quartermaster Autolycus. Two relatively small camps were arguing when it came time for the day's vote to be fed to the Soul Well, and the rest of the town was about to grab the Quartermaster when he bolted for the goblin woman, sending her hurtling towards the pavement.

Immediately the town sprung into violence as the citizens and visitors began to fight, but over the din of violence the Porter Takhisis managed to grab the squirming Seer. Pushing his way through the crowd, he ducked under a large brick which smashed into the knee of Merchant Momo1000

Spoiler :
Momo1000 is Injured!

"This is not how we do things," a voice said behind him, and he turned to face the Innkeeper. He did not waste a word, tossing the Goblin into the well with one clean toss...

...but to his dismay, the goblin snatched the edge of the well in defiance, screaming for help. In the instance the porter flicked his gaze away from the Innkeeper, Jarrema sprang into action, bringing his hands together and bashing the Porter out of the way. He ran forward, but was promptly tripped by the Worker, Zack, and before he could stand he heard the echoing screams of the goblin falling to her doom.

Kicking up with alacrity, the Innkeep turned on the Worker and tackled him. Pinning the Worker beneath him, Jarrema closed his fist and beat the man until he was unconcious, a great purple knot on his head bleeding profusely.

Spoiler :
Zack is Injured!

But the fighting ceased as the Soul Well erupted in a blast of green, and it was clear that there was nothing more that could be done. Based on the reaction of the Well, and the lack of further evidence, it became obvious that...

Spoiler :
Mergle, the Seer, was Innocent!

Silence gripped the crowd, and soon they trickled off to their quarters, murder heavy on their hearts. Harkonnen II collected the items, and it was time again for the fitful sleep of the damned.

NotW XLI: Morning Three - [PHASE 13]

Once again the storm raged worryingly close, and the noise was becoming hauntingly loud. As expected, not everyone made it to that morning's headcount, and a gruesome scene awaited the living members of Hajii in the Inn. Torn apart, and with the signature colorless eyes of all the victims before, Lightbringer Red_Spy was very definitely dead.

Spoiler :
Red Spy, the Lightbringer, was Innocent!

There was little time for mourning. Suspicious eyes cast themselves across the town square, and there were possessions to be voted upon. Mergle's Spooky Goggles were up for grabs, as well as the Lightbringer's Green Flame Torch

It is now MORNING THREE
Accusation Votes are in BLACK
Support Votes are in GREEN
Votes for the Spooky Goggles are in PURPLE
Votes for the Green Flame Torch are in RED

HarkonnenII gets the items.

*The miner had a very deep sleep last night, when he wakes up he almost feels like a completely different person.*

"Good morning, I feel I have been in too little contact with you all. Well that will change; I hope you can see that I, as a miner will benefit most from the Spooky Goggles, as well as the Lightbringer's Green Flame Torch. So please vote both to me, Nictel."

Spoiler :
Please bare with me while I read the thread fully.

But can I just ask, with demons around, shouldn't we question the summoner; Seon?

Winston Hughes, would you care to explain why when I went to item swap with you, I found an Ancient INFERNAL Necklace?

wow

Winston

That's certainly very interesting, but I'll wait for a respoinse from Winston before placing an accusation.
Also, Nictel has as good a reason as any for items.

Yes, Winston had poor taste in fashion, more on concerns about the demons in a moment. civplayah for the items still, I have yet to see someone refute why he can't be expected to put items back up to vote. So assuming he himself agrees to it, he has to put things up to vote after his ability goes through, and we get whatever additional numbers of lesser items passed to him, we should have this resolved by tomorrow.

Now I've got a troubling observation about the nightkills that unfortunately we probably cannot confirm, not knowing what the Chronomancers are up to, but speculation by the late Mergle or others might have some truth to it.

The demons must really, really, really, want the Chronomancers dead and they are acting like it too. This isn't unexpected, but we should take advantage of what we can - namely that there are fewer dead Innocents than we might have feared and we don't need to wait for more people to die to puzzle things out. Especially if we could run out of time or run into trouble when something happens between the two groups.

As for the kills, isolated incidents are understandable, but the demons have both killed people that were widely suspected by other townies and the one time got a Chronomancer on their own as far as I know. The Earth Mage who was openly anti-demon I can see being targeted, but otherwise why would they attack people already suspect by enough of the town and leave obvious townies untouched - except that they are really trying to target and kill the Chronomancers. If this keeps up and maybe even if not I think focusing on catching the demons is perhaps a better priority for us and we have perhaps a narrower list of candidates.

No, I don't expect we'll get any Chronomancers coming forward to openly try to help, there's unresolved nasty stuff that must be attributed to them as no one else has any explanations, such as that business on Night Two the first time. Just something to think about.

I just summon fire elementals, dude.

Actually Autolycus I have to ask you - you're supposedly an item swapper/thief, so if you went after Winston's item you have it now in your possession right?

You ought to tell some people in private what it does (hint: including me, if you'd please) so that if Winston shows up with something to explain we could see if he's trying to lie in advance.
