It doesn't matter if Irish or/and Basque Terrorists didn't hijack a plane, they're still terrorists, something which Williams used as an excuse to explain why he is adverse to Muslims.

I couldn't care less if you are old enough to be my dad, you've shown increasingly as of late that you are unable to debate in a manner that fits your age, which you've just used to some gain leverage against me. Perhaps it isn't me, for once, that needs to grow up.

Bigotry and Discrimination do not always affect people in a physical manner, it can be words, certain views of certain groups of people and general social reactions to those different groups, and in this case Williams violated at one of those, the different reaction and that is enough for me to look down on it negatively. You might be okay with such things, since it is easier for you rolls your eyes and ignore it, but I will not ignore it, even if it is the easiest option to take.

And whilst he may of thought about it, after he released his own personal views on the matter it has become fair game to criticise him, as it would be if I said something similar, of if anyone else said something similar. Don't try to dress it up as something it isn't.

I get the feeling this whole thing is a setup to attack NPR. First, they get some idiot like Jaun Williams to go on The Factor. Billo does his thing to stirrup controversy, getting people to say stupid things that O'Reilly knows could get him fired from NPR. Cutlass, if it swung the other way, and the common perception was that it showed a conservative bias, you would be all over cutting its funding. We both know it too.

But since it does not show a liberal bias, the point is false and useless. No news organization is as fair to both sides as NPR.

1) Can you make a legal argument justifying his firing given that after years of going on pundit shows, he suddenly fired for going on a pundit show? That part of his contract clearly seems to have been waived due to non-action on the employers part.

2) If the firing is for what he said, can you make a legal argument justifying his firing given the examples listed earlier in this thread of conduct tolerated by NPR?

The legal argument is that if someone has broken a company policy, been counseled against repeating it, and continues to do it regardless of further warnings, then that person has made the choice to be fired.
