Oh, the weather outside is...

Meanwhile in Seville:

^I take it whoever changes the sign was expressing disapproval of the temperature?

We're under a heat advisory here, and there was a thunderstorm tonight. Nothing major that I know of; no power outage, and it's a bit cooler now.

i think it broke due to high temps. The result can be interpreted in a number of ways.

+25-30 C* in Latvia this week. Ice cream, showers and walks just before sunset is at least something.

This week was supposed to be all thunderstorms. But today was balmy, with gentle on-shore breezes and most blue skies. I'll take it!

Yesterday was beautiful. The forecast is for partially cloudy weather. :)

Bah! It's shortly after midnight. Wind are howling. Big ol' rain drops are hitting my windows so hard it sounds like hail. :cringe: The boats in the cove have fired up their engines. I don't know if they're just holding station or are running off to a better harbor.

The high today was 44 C (111 F). I honestly didn't notice it that much. I went to work and the AC was OK and then in the afternoon was downtown walking around and it wasn't that hot. It's a dry heat. It cools down to the 30s at night.

Dull with sporadic downpours.

Chilly for the time of year. 14C.

Someone's stolen summer. Again.

It's actually a pretty nice afternoon here. Compared to yesterday when we had torrential rain.

44C is more than 25 degrees above my comfort zone.

It got down to 17C last night. But it's been quite a long time since we failed to hit 25C during the day. The last time was about two months ago probably.

Our weather is the same as it was the last time I posted in this thread.

Our summers tend to be the same every day (though monsoon season sometimes throws a wrench in that). I get tired of the same weather day after day, but that's where I was born and grew up.

Of course the Spring and Fall are perfect weather. Most people take their vacation in summer, not me. I take it in the spring and fall.

It's quite warm here. It got up to 82°F (28°C) today, while the normal high is 61°F (16°C). But we had a hard freeze almost three weeks ago, and have had many days staying in the 40s and 50s. Oklahoma weather is weird like that. Also, it's been a while since we had a good rain, and unfortunately we're going into the dry season, so we may have a wildfire risk.

Thank goodness our fire season is over here. We had an early snow this year (in September) and that took care of the worst of it. There were other fires last month in a different area - human caused, as some <monumentally ignorant individual> tossed a cigarette out onto a grassy area. Next thing you know, several ranches were burned down (was heartbreaking to see the photos of animal skeletons, as some had absolutely no chance of outrunning the flames) and a town had to evacuate.

Glad it's over Valka.

We've had a tiny bit of rain here this last week. It's pleasant and in the 70s consistently.

Yeah, people may complain about it being winter for the next 6 months, but some don't realize how much we need it.

Temperatures now seems to have stabilised under the zero mark, but that doesn't help if there's no snow falling from the sky. I'll give it another couple of weeks but come December I want some goddamn snow!

It's the middle of November, so it's cold, grey and miserable. I didn't expect, however, that it would be -2 yesterday morning and stay that way for a few hours!
