PH06: One is the Loneliest Number!

gee, i wonder what i missed?
Well, if you really need to know, I said "And Vicky? I wouldn't do her with Phoklhero's d*ck."

Frankcor, Cosmichail, let me introduce to a thing called bars, where they have, ya' know, live Cathy and Izzy's ;) :)
Get out of town! No way!

Well, i hate to do this, but there wasn't much to report during this set but battles and build orders, unfortunately.

However, first of all, which of you a-holes can't count?
civ4screenshot0000oh4.jpg

I get the game with 6 turns to play? Good grief! Let's remember people, 10 turns each! :nono: (read as :scoldscold: ) What? I could've just played 10 anyway ~ shut up you!

I tried on the inherited turn to draw Cathy/Sally into the fight, but the just didn't like me enough. It seems Sally finds us to be too much of a threat ~ loser! With that, i went to see my wang...our Wang, that is:
civ4screenshot0001vz0.jpg

I also made a demand:
civ4screenshot0002vu5.jpg

He turned us down! Oh well. I also gave him Gunpowder a turn or two later to help with his defenses. With all those heavily promoted Longbows, he survived everything Izzy and Hannibal threw at him.

I also tried to take a good look at our forces. Yes, our forces . . . our . . . Where the F are our forces?
civ4screenshot0003rb7.jpg

Oh, my fault, they don't exist  silly me, thinking we started a war with actual soldiers. Note to Frank: the "gun that's for fun" (i.e., "This is my rifle, this is my gun, this is for fighting, this is for fun!) does NOT count for our power rating, no matter how much it pleases Cathy ;) :)

Okay, that was that! I've got a nice force outside....uh, the whore was it...no, no, Lahore i think it was. Either way, we should penetrate it soon ~

We may be able to get peace with Asoka/Vicky for now, and concentrate on Izzy/Hannie as they seem to be the weaker pair. RParts is due next turn, and i advise going for Steel next. I'm not so sure we're going to be able to win this game, but it'll be fun going to hell in a handbasket together! wheeee!

Fox > looking up Frank/Cosmic in woodshed ~ together? at the woodshed? just tell us, which of you is Alex? (Fox may be UP NOW if Furrie is still OoP
Karr > Monday Night Hitler Fan ~ Sind Sie "ready" fur "some" Amerikanisher Fussball! sorry, my german is rusty ~
Cosmic > Lord Vader fan /WWII nut/ Gourmet Nut nut
Frank > Badabing and starts a gangland war; a real pezzonovante
Pholk > just played, pissed on 2 couples
Furrie > UP NOW perhaps

Confusing Roster? no.

However, first of all, which of you a-holes can't count?

That would be me I got confused when General Elephant dropped the bag of peanuts on my foot.
It wasn't four turn maybe 1 or 2 at the most. So sue me already.
Plus I got Tony Soprano to take care of my tab OK!!!!!!!!

I also made a demand:

I thought if they refused it meant war.

Note to Frank: the "gun that's for fun" (i.e., "This is my rifle, this is my gun, this is for fighting, this is for fun

Frank was just going to beat them with his pencil.

What afraid of a couple redcoats. Highly promoted grens still can deal with those suckers but hey what grennies. Also in my turn we did have a sizeable army in Sparta but I think they got taken out by Izzy's conquistador or the imaginery Cossacks. Don't they look the same?

I don't mind being Alex. I don't care about his sexuality he was one of the most brilliant strategic minds in history. Imagine beating 250000 persians with 50000 soldiers and using tactics that the US Army is using today.

But who's Frank then?

EDIT: Pholk I like to laugh and your post is making me do a lot of that. Thanks good buddy.

While attacking, Maceman loses to: Carthaginian Maceman (2.96/8) (Prob Victory: 82.5%)

That sucks ....

While defending, Longbowman defeats (2.22/6): Indian Knight (Prob Victory: 29.7%)

Much better ...

While attacking, Knight defeats (9.00/10): English Worker (Prob Victory: 74.1%)

This is ridiculous ... 74% against a worker who just raise their hands in the sky? And I sure hope the Knight was already at 9.00/10 when he moved on that worker.

--

Don't worry abt redcoats ... we have been through PH02, we will use the same tactics again. lots and lots of cannons plus grenies is unbeatable.

I will give Furrie his full 24 hrs.

@ Cosmic ~ thanks, Skipper (see the "good buddy" reference :D ) I was also first going to reply to your "but who's Frank" question w/ "uhhh . . . Frankcor . . . the guy we've been playing with this whole game"

@ Fox ~ the Knight WAS at 9/10 when he took the Rifle (and the city was still at Longbows!) I moved a maceman up to go after the city, and saw this worker hanging around ~ i may have even licked my chops!

Hello guys, i'm back
I'll pick this one.
I'll play tonight or tomorrow afternoon.

Who's Frank? I'm the pezzonovante of your worst nightmares.

When I started that war, we had an Army. But I split it into thirds. Two captured cities, the third got eaten by Hannibal outside of Sparta. So we'll build another army. :)

Great report -- informative and humorous.

well, for the info, thank Ruff and his new autolog

for the humor, thank my good friends Jim Beam and Jack Daniels

hah ~ first off, i stopped drinking whiskey when i was about 22. The allure of jack and water wore off pretty quickly. Actually, one of my favorite beers is a Czech pilsner ~ a far cry from German Bread Beer, but i also like mine cold and not room temp :p

but, wine ~ pffft ~ i drink "Arbor Mist" Spritzers  (for those who don't know [probably many] arbor mist is a HORRIBLE wine, that comes with a twist cap in 'fruity' flavors ~ at least it doesn't come in a box! )

Lurker's comment:
Twist caps on wine are actually a very practical and sensible option. No more corked bottles and no more being stranded without a way of getting in to the d*mned thing. It's just snobbery to frown upon them.

And don't forget your friends at Arbor Mist encourage you to enjoy their "fruity" flavours responsibly.

Karr you think America is so poor. Man you have never been obviously. Some of my most enjoyable meals/drinks were in NYC with people that worked in the WTC. Talk about fine dining and excellent wine. Surprised you would think Jack Daniels is poor whiskey. It's actually quite good (back in my drinking days some 15 years ago) but always had a preference for Crown Royal a fine Canadian whiskey. Not a beer drinker but my beer drinking buddies think American beer is like water compared to Canadian beer. That's all I think you hit the nail on. (should check out Seattle too like good food there too) Only place I got crappy food in US was in the backwoods of North Dakoka spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs could bounce off a wall. (country kitchen some chain there never ate there again).

Been to Germany too and when Germany had tv till what 11:00pm with like 3 channels America had tons of channels day and night. Oh I remember too the crap one has to go through in a German hotel to make a phone call on Bell Canada phone card. They wouldn't let me and nailed me a ridiculous fee for it whilst in America never had that problem.

Don't knock my beloved America Karr. She's our big sister and I was always treated very well every where I went there. (especially Florida)

Now don't get me started on France. I have a story about Paris that would make your hair turn grey. It involves hookers/coat hangers and stolen credit cards. (not me my crazy boss back then) (French militia too)
The hospitality from our business contacts was great though except for my idiot boss.

Hey I'm just kidding. I love america and everything that comes with it. In Chicago and NY I had some of the best food ever. And for you canadians I even own a blue jays hat.

But when US connoisseurs talk about wine in a box and call Jack Daniels good (it just isn't, no way - just good enough to put into coke and give it to someone you wanna take advantage off), I just have to poke a little fun at them. ;)

Oh and Pholk: Germany has great cold beer, just try this next summer:

Now that I think of it Jack Daniels is kind of gut rot but sure does the trick. Yep Canucks too have wine in a box and I agree Karr that's something to chuckle about. But French/Italian/German wine is so cheap in Europe who would want to drink the cheap stuff. Back in my drinking days I really missed French Cognac which is reasonably priced in The Netherlands. (In Canada can't get the real, real good stuff)

Glad to hear you have a Jays hat sure was nice to have won the world series in Canada even though all the players are American. (used to be all the hockey players were Canadian many moons ago.)

So who's up anyways mmmmm German Jaeger Schnitzel....(some of my favourite food is German too and ps I very much enjoyed Southern Germany during my travels)

Danger: Thread hijack in progress...

Sorry to interrupt, but I wanted to plug something and I figured that, if Pholk were tired of me spamming up his threads, he would have said something long ago.

Anyhow, over at Deviant Minds, Pholk, Zophos, and I are trying to start up an online Role-Playing Game. No, not some life-sink MMORPG. Old school. D&D, GURPS, etc. None of the details are yet decided, but I'd like to see at least two more players.

All are welcome to join. Just follow the link above to the thread. Otherwise, anyone can watch. (We're good like that, don't you wish your neighbor's daughter were, too?)

[/thread-hijack]

PS, @Karr, Franziskaner is my absolutely my favorite beer. I think Imhotep has relatives that work in the Spaten brewery. Anyhow, Spaten also makes a fantastic Oktoberfest. My other favorite white beer is a Belgian brew called Hoegarden (sp?). Yummy stuff.

Hi guys, just to let you know i'll be playing later this evening, so don't panic, the game will be played by tonight somehwhere (i'm geussing i'll be posting around 2.30 AM GMT +1 :p)
