Pizza

I like getting this thing for $5 and no wait, and the tomato sauce Little Caesars uses in their pizza seems to taste better than more-expensive places.

It can also be worth adding either homemade seasoning salt, sriracha, a girl, anime, and coke or beer (prefer coke myself).

Little caesars is fine for the price like if you're throwing a kids birthday party, and you're right, the sauce and toppings are good. But I can't get over their crust. It's awful, flavorless, bad chew. It needs to be more puffy like papa johns or have some flavor added like pizza hut/dominos or something.

The pizza in the image I was commenting on just looked like a standard dominoe's pizza and not deep dish though. But maybe I am wrong

Papa John's is only ever worth it if they sell at 50% off. Otherwise it's way too expensive for the average tasting pizza that you get

Plus they out sugar in their sauce, ungodly amounts of sugar. For that crime alone they deserve to be hung by the testicles until dead.

Oh, and don't forget how their crust is loaded with sugar too. If you don't believe me eat it cold. It is very poor quality pizza.

There's no Papa John's in this country.

People actually eat salad, as unbelieavable as it sounds.

There's a difference between salad and something that looks like yard clippings. My own pizza topping preferences include tomatoes, spinach, and spicy Italian sausage. I don't go in for an excessive amount of cheese - certainly not extra portions, since cheese isn't cheap here.

Agreed. I had to laugh a couple of days ago when they sent me a code for a measly $5 off my order. That doesn't even cover the delivery charge and GST. The only time I order a pizza and don't have a 50% off code is if I'm redeeming 25 points for a large pizza and get bread sticks to go with it. I don't remember how many points I have currently. It's been awhile since I last ordered from them.

You were talking about Papa John's here, right?

They don't use a lot of sugar in the crust of St Louis style pizza that I can tell.

Is that what you can order, or is it just that you like to watch anime with your girlfriend while eating pizza and drinking coke?
The crust is tolerable with garlic dipping sauce
Pizza isn't meant to be dipped… not in my experience, at least.

You don't make friends with salad.

Tomatoes meaning sliced tomato, not just tomato paste/sauce?

Hmmm… spinach pizza. With white sauce… Hmmmm…

The one redeeming thing about Pizza Pizza (do you guys get this in the U.S.?) are their garlic dips. The crust is usually decent, while the rest of the pizza is usually meh, but dipping that crust into that dip sorta makes it all worth it. Mind you I wouldn't recommend Pizza Pizza to anyone

You people have made me decide on something important. Sometime before the end of the year I'll buy some yeast and make my own pizza.

Pizza Pizza is reportedly the Canadian equivalent pizza to Little Caesers, though that may have more to do with their marketing conflict than actual pizza recipes. It is notable though that you say their one redeeming feature is their garlic dips, and the same redeeming feature is pretty much all that Little Caesers has going for them. There may be a reason that when Little Caesers started out in the Detroit area they chose "Pizza Pizza" as their slogan. They probably lifted everything else from their Canadian neighbors as well.

Yeah I think the only relationship between these two pizza companies is the "pizza pizza" line that caesar's uses that was infringing on the pizza pizza name. From my experience both places produce different pizzas, there aren't many similarities aside from both places being "cheap fast food pizza joints". Pizza pizza joints are everywhere here (in Ontario), you go there if you're cheap and you want cheap pizza. Their slices usually suck, but like I said the crust and dip are usually good. Delivery pizzas they make are for some reason always better than their slices, although not by much. It's an okay delivery option. Personally I stay away from there, as I would rather get a pizza at a mom n pop place or some other non-franchise pizza joint. If I'm going for mass produced fast food pizza I might as well hit up dominos or whatever

No pizza is better than its bread.

Also true of sammitches.

We don't agree on a lot of things, but when we do, boy do we agree... I've been refining my pizza dough recipe for years now. You ever tried using a very slight amount of beer? It gives it a better rise and a slighty more yeast-y taste, if you're into that. Obv you only substitute like 10% of the water used for beer.

This post is highly American, but I still approve of it.

Salad means lettuce, not leaves that look like they blew off a tree across the parking lot.

Diced fresh tomatoes.

The basic pizza is spinach with alfredo sauce. I add the tomatoes and spicy Italian sausage to that. Unfortunately, alfredo sauce isn't one of the sauces available when customizing one's own pizza, nor is spinach one of the available regular toppings.

Salad means lettuce

Do people actually believe this? This is blowing my mind

Have you never actually eaten any of these? there's so many different kinds of salad out there, how could you possibly think iceberg lettuce is the only salad?

My family grows every single one of these in their garden with the exception of radicchio and chicoree. It is very common here to have salad and other greens in your garden, obv not just one kind. What do you guys plant, HFCS and imitation cheese? :)

I've never seen nor heard of some of those. Obviously I would include other things besides iceberg lettuce in my salad, but it wouldn't be anything more exotic than carrots and other ordinary things. Absolutely no radishes, btw. I can't stand those things.

I don't have a garden. The only outdoor space I've got is on a balcony that gets a lot of dust and debris blown onto it due to the wind, and it's a popular place for the pigeons (normally I'm all for letting birds be, but I wish they'd do something about all the pigeons around here). So my balcony really isn't a good place to try to plant anything. I don't even have houseplants indoors.

Y-you don't need a garden to try a different variety of salad... They have those in grocery stores.. Though to be honest Portulac and Radicchio aren't the most common, but almost every farmers market will have them. And no, I assure you, none of those taste like radishes.

But anyway, of course you don't have to like 'em. I just think (almost) everything should be tried at least. I would imagine that rocket (cut grass) isn't your thing, but lamb's lettuce is really delicate and crunchy.

I also agree with you that spinach pizza with white sauce is great if done right. Have you tried it with almonds? My dad used to buy this "Boston" style Pizza (that's what it was called at least), with a super thick high rise crust and spinach, garlic & cream cheese sauce and almond as topping.

That looks like the kind of pizza that my dad makes, except his has twice as many green leafy things on top...
