Polygon pre-order article includes additional information on DLC

Considering that replacing it would probably take someone two minutes of coding, I don't think that's a compelling argument, especially since not everyone will buy Crossroads.
But don't you think that considering the release of Crossroads is a month or less after the base game, its content must be planned with the base game? Even if it only takes a minute or two, it makes no sense they deliberately create extra work for themselves.

I'm most unhappy about Carthage. Unless we're getting a Magna Graecia and Roman Africa civ, too.
Deep down, I had expected the name Carthage to return, to be honest. Don't dishearten, some abilities of the civilization will stay away from the Punic Wars with how enriched the designs of civilizations are in Civilization VII. Now I have to guess the units. Since the Quadrireme is available to all civilizations, and the Bireme was a military unique unit in Civilization VI, I think the African War Elephant will be the Unique Military Unit this time, with the Bireme given a new approach. It will work as a Unique Civilian Unit that's immune to plunder. The Unique Military Unit can also be the Numidian Cavalry, but that will mean we will never get Numidia as a separate civilization. Masinissa would be cool as a leader too.

Any chance this is true? Is it really for Crossroads of the World? It’s strange because there isn’t a single unassociated Carthaginian, Bulgarian, or Nepalese wonder in the game. It seems much more fitting for Right to Rule.

Besides, I’d be a bit disappointed if we got Carthage instead of Phoenicia.

On the other hand, maybe this pack makes sense. Bulgaria and Nepal might not be very marketable, but having Great Britain as a major bait could significantly boost its sales potential.

It could be that Associated Wonders aren’t part of the wonder count for a DLC.

It's all right; I'm already planning to learn to mod so I can fix the mess they've made of my favorite civ. :p And so help me, if they did make "Carthage" the Punic War civ...I'm modding France into Quebec with a Poutine Seller unique civilian unit and Angry Hockey Fan unique military unit while I'm at it. :p

This means Gran Colombia will return in the future too.
I'd take it to mean the opposite. Including him now probably means we won't see Gran Colombia (as expected TBH...Gran Colombia was as much an excuse to include Bolivar as Macedon was for Alexander and Sumer was for Gilgamesh).

True, but I think Colombia could still appear even without Simón Bolívar's militaristic elements. Mainly to provide the Incas with a good modern successor and because Haciendas are not included in the Mexican design.

Are you threatening me with a good time, sir?

It does seem a bit of an odd choice.
I think it's a great choice, I feel I was just talking with someone on here about how her or Turing would make for an excellent pick. Now, I can't pretend I wouldn't have slightly preferred Turing, but you can bet that this was still the reveal I was most excited about reading through the leak.

Charles Babbage's offsider in the early work on computing (the Difference Engine). Will almost certainly be Cultural/Scientific, given that she was Lord Byron's daughter and a mathematician herself.
I know who she is. At least non-leader choices Franklin, Machiavelli, Confucius, Ibn Battuta and even Tubman had some kind of political element.

But... Ada Lovelace?

I was expecting someone along the lines of a lady scientist, by in my mind it was going to be Hildegard of Bingen.

oh dear lord
That's gonna be a chart update indeed

At least I'm vindicated on my opinion on Britain
I think a "trustworthy seeming leak" color might be appropriate
