Portal 2

Such an awesome, unique, innovative game. I love this game. I loved Portal 1 too. I especially love the "you almost know what is going on" story that lets you really fill in the blanks yourself. I hate cheesy stories that explain too much. Also the humor is great.

Great, great game. Co-op with strangers is a little disappointing though. The problem is I always play with randoms as I have no Steam friends and everyone I play with has done every chamber, so it's just me running around doing what they tell me, which is not very enjoyable.

I haven't played the Co-Op yet...

I am almost done the single player, I should finish it on either late Sunday night or, probably sometime late on Monday. Bloody hilarious and well done game so far :D Totally worth $50.

A quart of milk? Don't Canadians measure liquids in the Metric system?

I wrote "a bag of milk" at first, then I wanted to avoid the whole "mehe bags of milk lol Canada" crap and I was going to write "a carton of milk", and then I was like "does that even exist" and then I saw these big plastic jugs they have in the US in my head and thought "they must call that a quart" ... So there was a thought process there. But yeah we use liters.

EDIT: Maybe they'd say gallons? I dunno, that makes it sound like drinking fuel.

Well, we say we're going out for a pint of milk, but we only ever buy it in litres, multiples of 1.136 litres in fact. :)

Milk usually comes in gallon jugs here.

Best. Ending. Ever <3

Seriously, that was the most epic ending of any game I have ever played.

I highly recommend playing Portal 1 first (though it is not necessary) and getting Portal 2. I rarely pay full price for a game anymore, and Portal 2 was totally worth it for me. While the SP took me "only" 7.5 hours I know I will end up replaying it again. I haven't done the co-op yet but I'm sure I'll play that more than once too. Anyway, the production values of the game justify the price more so than the length, the visuals are epic, detailed and well done.

The voice acting is superb, the dialogue is bloody hilarious (there are 3 new characters, plus the two co-op robots) and there are all the little hidden easter eggs and details Valve likes to scattered around to make exploring worthwhile. The gameplay is similar but more varied as in Portal 1 (there really isn't any improvement to be made though, but some challenge maps would be nice and I suspect they will come in future updates).

Of course there will be sales for anyone who doesn't want to pay full price which is understandable.

Do you work for Valve?

I really enjoyed the game and do not regret paying full price, but I didn't say people shouldn't wait for a sale if they want to. Deal with it buttercup.

So...a Valve representative registers on a Civilization Forum in 2005, then waits 6 years to hype up Portal 2 two weeks after its release? Makes sense to me.
