Post your Empires!

Yes yes we know, I was wondering why you assuemd it was the fort in Kabul and not just a border fort when it is clearly nowhere near Kabul.

Because I erroneously assumed that each province came with a fortress separate from the city and pre-placed by the designers, with smaller forts being the ones you could construct with generals. The fort in the picture looked more permanent than one I would expect a general to be able to build (which I would expect to be earthen and less complex, not stone and complex). I've since been proven wrong and admitted that, so you can cease giving me the third degree about it.

My latest campaign with Britain, with the new patch. It is certainly more enjoyable, but more work still needs to be done.

As you can see the AI is much more active. Prussia have rampaged since pretty much the first turn, the Marathas are giving the Mughals a hard time in India, the native Americans have moved about too and Austria have desperately been trying to regain the land they've lost. No naval invasions to speak of as yet (I gifted Portugal Maryland for techs, they backstabbed me so now I will destroy them once and for all in Europe.) The German states are also surprisingly quiet. I noted more action with them pre-patch.

But happy so far, when naval invasions come this will be a very interesting game to play I wager.

What happened to France? Does that mean they're in a state of revolution?

Savoy are in control of France. It was part of my plan to gain the Thirteen Colonies - if I wiped out European France then it would be much easier just to fight Québec. After capturing Paris I found it much too difficult to keep a hold of, so I gifted it to Savoy, half-expecting it to rebel back to France. Surprisingly it didn't, and Savoy have held France for almost 15 years.

Edit: Wait, nevermind.

I object to the elimination of the panhandle as part of Maryland territory!
While I don't particularaly care about the 13 colonies, I must object as well, it looks stupid to not have the pan handle part of Maryland.

It seems that my last post had an effect on the AI. Since that screenshot I have not seen ONE exchange of territories between two AI, and it is now 1750. I have read that eventually the AI will stop attacking because they are bankrupt, but their wealth reading still reads spectacular... strange. Needs more patching.

It looks like it's loosely based on the flag of the Commonwealth of England. Not sure why they didn't just use that, really.

I really envy you guys. My comp can't run ETW or M2TW. Subbed

From what I've tried, despite the flaws, it was fun. Anyways, a RTW Britain game coming up soon. Just as soon as I build a British Empire in ancient Europe.

New patch brings a new game, and this much more enjoyable as the last. This time I chose Poland. Not the easiest and not the hardest, I am playing on VH/N and am having a decent challenge.

Nice to see AI doing naval invasions now. Africa was split betwen Britain, United Provinces and Spain before Spain steamrolled over them. Austria have become a powerhouse and are my allies. (gladly.) Had a hard war with Sweden. They were reduced to one settlement which rebelled and caused the appearence of Norway, and killing Sweden in the process. At the moment, a ship is on its way to South America to take the UP's holdings. I cannot see them surviving much longer.

Impressed with the new patches... Empire is finally what it should have been all them months ago.

That screenshot was so gigantic that my internet connection gave up a third of the way through.

Same internet connection is downloading Warpath right now, because I had ten bucks to waste. It's slow going but when it finally finishes I'll try it out and report back. Pretty happy they released the Special Forces Edition units as $2.50 DLC with a few extras, too. Though at this rate I guess the DLC will be free a year from now. :p
