Pre-ChaNES: Into the Void

Well, Chand, I'm fully prepared to bow out, though I remind you that YOU advised me to take control of the Carmentan rebellion as a figurehead. :p

Say what? You must've misinterpreted me by a long shot. Sure, I found the idea amusing, but you're the one that sent me the PM out of the blue detailing your plan. I don't know what you're trying to say here, but I have those PMs still sitting in my inbox.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to be confrontational. I'll clarify more via PM.

Lurking: I still can't believe that this is a preNES.

Just commenting on the quality, wanting to do my input. The 'real' NES will rock the world.

This is a pre-NES in the sense in which it is a prelude to ChaNES Proper. And yes, it is looking up to be quite exciting.

Then us parasites can swoop in on the proper game and begin leeching it of life.

@ Chand I had to delete my old orders in a clean-out. Could you please send them to me again?

Chandrasekhar, I can see that you're online! You'll have to answer that question-overloaded PM eventually anyway! :p

Once the map is done, I swear. :p I'm having too much fun with GIMP right now to bother with little things like player questions. Oh, also note that the Stella Aequa claimed by the Americans this turn was supposed to be called Liberty, not Washington - my bad for using an old set of notes. Also note that the map post will contain more information about the native Liberals Libertarians Libertines bioforms of the Liberty system as well.

lurker's comment: Sometimes I think that sending those was one of the most fun parts of NESing. :p

Are the corporation stats completely updated? Also, just to tell you, you have the Avis system stats listed twice under the Interstellar Commonwealth.

OOC: Yamato or Zenit should have Prokhorovka instead of Rushmore; it's listed for both.
Fixed.

Oh, they are a strong candidate for that spot, definitely.

Yup, corporate stats are updated. Also, spacetime anomaly corrected.

To: Commonwealth
We are at your disposal in this war against these filthy Pirates. We are preparing to dispatch a science ship to Soyuz, along with a parasite corvette escort, to deal with the skip fighter there. Equipped as it is with advanced Sigma Detection equipment, it should quickly identity where it is being deployed from. Any escort to this ship that you can manage would be appreciated.

OOC: I approve, Symphony. This does not reflect Outremer, Inc.'s views, of course, but I personally approve.

Fixed map is here:
Spoiler :
Higher quality version here.

The system geographic stats have also been updated. I'll start sending out intel PMs tomorrow, and I'll also start working on the official info on Liberty's indigenous sapients (edit: Also, the tech files. How did I forget those?). An order deadline will be announced soon.

Say, seems to me I was in this. Must be my imagineation. ANyway I'd like to sign up as a colonial government, perferably something important.

The colonies listen as "open" in the first post are all significant, with breathable atmospheres and abundant natural resources. I'd recommend Brazillian Amazonas, Israeli Zion, Canadian Elizabeth, Indian Dharma, Korean Gyeongju, or Indonesian Merdeka, depending on what culture you prefer. Federate Babylon is also a choice, though it lacks a specific national identity. Chinese 192-209 is a good system, though it's sort of dwarfed by the other Chinese colonies, and the PRC doens't give its governors a whole lot of leeway. Russian Zenit and Japanese Yamato are both colonies of the highest quality, so you can sign up for them if you're willing to take on that responsibility. Finally, American Liberty is listed as open, but I expect that Symphony would prefer not to have a player governor there until he's dealt with the native sapients to his liking, and you'll probably get vetoed if you try to sign up for it.
