I can offer an inflatable bed in a hallway - us London types don't have the palatial flats and houses of those in the barbarous northern realms.
Race Name: Cora.
The Coran race is a result of a later experiment at achieving social harmony by extensive usage of data networks and cybernetic implants to achieve what one technocrat called was a perfect society. Tens of thousands ofkidnapeesvolunteers were moved to a facility on a planet on the fringe of the galaxy, fitted with various cybernetic implants, and let loose. The volunteers went mad and killed each other within weeks.
Undeterred, the Technocrat went straight to his second experiment. Believing that theforcedrapid implementation of the network on the volunteers lay at the heart of the problem, he restructured the programso that it actually used volunteersin a way that he deemed would lessen the impact of the implementation of the network. In addition, he gave the volunteers the ability to switch off their network receptorswhy the hell he did not think of that the first time we cannot fathom.
The experiment was a success. Soon, the Coran race erected massive cities and began to build massive networks that spanned from systems to systems. Immigrants even came from residents of the core world. They developed their own unique culture of perfect democracy based on massive interstellar social network. Then the tumult came and promptly wiped them all out.
Or at least almost wipe them all out. There still existed one colony of Corans, so backwards that they still used light speed transmissions and fiber optics cable, which survived. Confused and disoriented from the effects of the tumult and sudden silence of the galaxy around them, it remains to be seen how this community would fare.
Physiology: Because of all the cybernetic implants available, it would be a folly to truly determine what a Coran looks like. One may still be mostly human while others would be more machine than man. A trait common to all Corans, however, is the network receptor and the Coran eye. The Coran eye is an interesting little device that enables the wearers to actually *see* the network, much like HUD devices. In this way, Corans are able to instantly identify people by their name and even see advertisements from a local network provider.

Come on people, maek poast! Remember you also need to describe colours and ship aesthetics!
To this day, Corans can't help but shake the feeling that there is something wrong with their cube based designs.

DOSSIER: Likely the descendants of an old Technocrat faction which made a run at core world hegemony during the Kingdom Age, only to be rebuffed and exiled to exterior worlds. Culture is tinged with revanchist sentiment toward the galaxy at large and rather minimalist material aspiration beyond lust for extrasystem power. Distinct lack of dogma involving moralist or religious codes, or any other technological aspirations beyond those redevelopment and reverse engineering of formerly lost technologies from pre-Tumult times. Generally utilitarian motivated society as a whole. Genetic code is rather heterogeneous when compared to other fringe world populations, likely due to rather recent societal establishment and previous association with the heterogeneous and now lost core worlds. Fixed superiority complex with regard to other fringe system occupants.
Notes: Tried to avoid fleshing out too much before I know what system I'm rolling.
Yes, but I also know that you are evil sadists. :3
And making our job harder helps you....?![]()
