Oh and on top of my infection, I probably have influenza. Yay!

I think the flu shot isn't as effective this year because they misestimated which strains would be most common.

I was actually offered a seasonal flu shot for the first time this year, but the nurse had no idea why. It's not as if I only contracted Asperger's when I turned 40, after all.

Yeah, I got the shot and I've still had what's almost certainly the flu for the past week and a half.

Yeah, but getting more vaccines can level you up from Aspergers to Super Aspergers. I'm on Aspergers level 23 right now from all of my flu shots.

I'm coming down with a cold as well and realized it while I was out riding my bike. :(

I did just spend an hour in a hot tub reading a good book and I'm currently practicing my ability to shapeshift into a couch so all in all it's aight.

This is the silliest thing, but I just finished wstching TLJ on bluray and when I turn it off the firdt TV channel that pops up is doing Scorsese's Silence. Gah! I've wanted to wstch it since it came out, and it's already halfway done! :(

I haven't gotten sick this season yet, but I'm about to head to Influenza-Is-Now-An-Epidemic Washington. Luckily the strain that's at fault was covered in my flu shot.

I had a cold earlier this season but I've thankfully recovered from that.

My cold is currently at the ten day mark and shows no sign of abating.

Are you taking anything for it? I used to have colds that would last forever in my "I'm too tough for medicine" days, now I pump myself full of every cold medicine I can find at the first sign of symptoms and it's usually gone in two or three days.

My wife takes zinc at the first sign of a cold and that pretty much stops them. I haven't had a cold or flu in 20 years so I feel for you guys, and hope you get better soon.

Yeah, I blast mine. TheraFlu, massive vitamin C doses, cough drops. I just have a terrible immune system. Too much misapplied chemistry in my lifetime.

TheraFlu is a strong medicine, I got pass-out and sleep like a corpse and wake up in the morning revived whenever I take those, maybe you got high dosage. But on a side note cough is so hard to cure, it tooks more than a week for me.

Rant: I hate people sometimes. that's all I have to say.

I hate myself.

Yeah coughing is the worst ! Incidentally I take TheraFlu too. I started with 2 per day morning/evening but already cut that to 1 per day in the morning and some pills mid-day when I'm at work. I didn't yet had drowsiness or any side effects from it but I got to admit when it comes to flu it's the best one to take imho.

You took it in the morning??! Dang man how many amount of caffeine do you take to survive the day? I cannot take Theraflu in the morning, it will make me sleep for sure.

Now I try to bare the pain and limit the intake dosage I need to keep the medicine effective in my body, my wife always make me herbal tea whenever I sick as an alternate medicine: chamomile, thyme, turmeric, ginger, all of them mix with honey. It's hit and miss, but it helps before the chemical kicks in at night. But whenever I got cough, I just drink the coughing medicine like a syrup, I just want it to pass.

I take sudafed (with actual psuedoephedrine) and mucinex for colds. It works decently enough.

2019 was the year of the cold for me. I was sick at least 3 times this year which is high for me. I usually get sick just once a year, twice at most. I skipped my flu shot due to losing my insurance so here's hoping I don't get that as well.

I've been dodging colds lately as everyone around me seems to catch one. Really hope I'll avoid it as I really hate them. I wish I could be one of those it's just a cold whatever type but they suck the life out of me and I get miserabel and get very little stuff done. They also seem to take ages for my immune system to throw. But I'm on a good streak now, haven't been sick in over a year now or something. Feel better hobbs!
