Strange. My Skype works fine for video in the US and abroad. Try reinstalling and then check your settings again.I bought a webcam for my computer ... it works, but with Skype it only does audio for some reason, I can't do video calls at all (I can't even receive peoples' video)
Foamy the Squirrel. Ages 3+Apparently they're going to be using machine-learning to detect if certain videos are intended for kids (because of the whole COPPA issue). That'll turn out well.
So today I managed to cut one thumb and black the nail on the other, and get residual fiberglass from bicep to wrist on both arms. Working sucks ass sometimes.
Well, you could achieve lunch...rant/rave : I feel like my peak efficiency is now , it's midnight here. I am a night owl. Sometimes I feel like I could achieve much more if I were at peak between 12 PM and 1 PM ...
Same here, when it's a non-NaNo month. Otherwise I have to start earlier than 11:30. Although if necessary I can do my Camp NaNoWriMo words within 30 minutes since the word count goal is lower.A lot of times I get most of my writing done in the thirty minutes before midnight.
I'm not usually awake at that hour. I was this morning, though, when Maddy tipped over the garbage and found the corn chips I'd thrown out (she was trying to get to the salmon can we finished off for lunch yesterday). I'm amazed that she hasn't gotten sick on the corn chips; I heard her crunching them as she ate.I usually do my best work before 10 am
Depending on your latitude and region, it sounds like a normal November to me. But here it's no longer autumn. We're definitely in winter now (yes, I know about solstices and equinoxes; they can shut up).Rant : We Night Owls had to stay up all night and watch the tribe while You Morning Birds slept snugly in Your tents....
It's just cold and dark at night in NovemberAm I getting sort of autumn depression ? :worried:
For me, it's because I always have other things I could be doing. A slow day at work means I have to hang around and find "busy work", which just feels like an incredible waste of my time. It's the "once it's gone, it's gone" problem, but from the other direction. Slow days at the office are when I feel most like a wage-slave.I always hated being busy at work (and still do!) Now I'm working from home, slow days mean I can just lounge around, maybe read a book or go out and do something. Back when I had to actually work, I loved when it was slow because it'd give me an excellent opportunity to daydream.
Why would you want time to fly by faster? You only have so much of it, once it's gone it's gone.
To which the only appropriate response is firstI called an electrician to come by, because something's wrong with my kitchen and a few of my outlets aren't working.
...
Anyway, this guy was supposed to call me this morning to tell me roughly when he'll be by, and then also when he's on his way. I haven't heard anything from him, and I've been sitting around here all day next to my phone waiting.
I've also been forgetting to do my font formatting, darn it!
