Sour beer is usually in the 10-13% range. At least Wild Ales are. Berlinerweissen are on the lower end iirc.

Berlinerweissen is as low as 3%. And those Jolly Pumpkin Ales don't exceed 9% (which is already too much for a beer if you ask me). Kwak is 8.4% and Kriek lambic is up to 8%.

Rochefort Trappist caps at 11.3%

Telling you, 12.5% is yorsh.

The 12.5 was a stout that was aged for over 12 months in bourbon barrels. I also had a 12% barley wine ale. Totally opposite beer styles but all it takes is a few of them and weeeee.

Yeah, although it's an American microbrew, and a damn hard one to find even locally here, but it's Kentucky Breakfast Stout, by Founders.

I bought an exercise bike about 3 weeks ago, and I've been busy pedalling away for about 1/4 hr whenever I've had the chance (shortly before collapsing into an armchair).

Rant: no matter how hard I pedal, and concentrate on the living-room window, I never seem to get any nearer to it. Despite the on-board computer showing I've pedalled "so" many kilometers.

I don't get it. Is the machine broken, do you think?

I think they take the wheels off for that kind of bike. But I'm not sure, really.

Or maybe it's one of those pesky bikes that you have to pedal as hard as you can if you want to remain in place. And pedal twice as hard as that to get anywhere.

I don't really know, though. The instructions are clearly written by someone not totally familiar with English.

I remember a game CD that came with ‘Instillation Instructions’. Thankfully, I already knew how to insert a CD into the CD tray and click on the CD's Setup.exe file.

Rant: it appears I can't have any Kentucky Breakfast Stout unless I go to hunt for it in the few places it can be spotted in the USA, which I don't think to be worth it after all given the distance and all the trouble.

However, a variety of mentionings I've seen while trying to locate it (1, 2, 3 and a few others) keep telling me it's 11.2% ABV... I feel I was searching for a wrong one.

Nah, it's different each year/batch. Sometimes as low as 11 sometimes as high as 12.4.
