Rant: while some work is being done on the apartment I'm back in with my parents for an undisclosed time, and it's really stressing me out.
Long story short: there was this vague chemical-ish smell there without any obvious origin so now the entire flooring has been rooted up to see if it'll shed some light on the issue.
