Random Rants 79: [Impassionating Intensifies]

Even if I wanted to move to a lower cost of living area, there aren't jobs in those areas I'm interested in.

What about remote jobs that will let you live anywhere you want? I know you don't want to move away from Southern California, but it might be worth considering for at least a few years to build yourself up and then move back.

Most aerospace companies don't go for remote work. They tend to be old fashioned and conservative in nature and are unwilling to take a chance on remote work.

Small rant: Whose smart idea was it to open up comments on this article? Sheesh.

I don't even know why CBC has comments anymore. They're closed on most articles.

I don't remember why I got so many cans of clam chowder when I've never had it before. I tried it for the first time today.

My body and soul is not a fan.

Is it too late to take it back to the store and exchange it for something else?

Apartment hunting sucks, especially when you don't know what your long-term job situation is. Plus, we need a place with an electric car charger. It was a choice that made perfect sense at the time and we had no way of knowing we would be kicked out of our apartment right after leasing it but goddamn it's making the search harder than it needs too. I'm also growing to resent my dog. It's not his fault we're being kicked out but it kind of is and he's also making it harder to find an apartment. And he's kind of a terrible dog to begin with.

The job prospects I'm lining up means we'll have to split up as well which means leasing two apartments in the short term with two concurrent moves and I'll have to lease another car. Then when the wife's contract is up in 9 months, we'll have to move a third time.

Would re-homing him be an option? Having him be with relatives until the instability rights itself?

No the wife wouldn't stand for it, unfortunately.

Also, sorry I've been whining about the same **** so much lately.

Dang it, I always grab the courtesy cart sitting all by itself 6 feet in front of the line of carts.
I always thought an employee did that for customer convenience.

But now that I think about it, it is more likely someone took 6 steps from the line of carts and abandoned their malfunctioning cart for another that works. :cringe:

So not a courtesy cart.
It's a trap.

Rant: My mother used up my bubble bath. :(

All the liquid was gone from the bottle so I had to throw it out. It was not gone the last time I was in the bathroom.
