Oh, come on, if it's Bootstoots' bedbugs they're a) probably immune to radiation and b) trained by the FBI to spy on him. (could Agent whatsisname please neither confirm nor deny this?)

btw my rant is ongoing, those horrible contentless political ads are still mandatory until the ban kicks in for the weekend.

Edit: they're here too. AAAAAA

Why is the question that pops in my mind. Is there a need for a healthier pizza?

Well then they shouldn't remember what a real pizza tastes like so the can't make a fair comparison. :p

My younger brother is one of those people, and coincidentally my mom and I were just discussing restaurant options with gluten-free stuff because they're coming to visit me in a few weeks.

I don't think I've ever had gluten-free pizza but I can't imagine it would be that bad...

Aye you definitely don't need gluten in a pizza to make it taste good.

The crust is pretty terrible, most non-gluten substitutes are. It's usually made worse with pizza in that it's typically paired with vegan cheese and such. On the one hand, the various diet fads are a boon to people with celiac's or other conditions because it gives them more options than they ever had before. On the other hand, it can mean those options are tied into other, completely unrelated fads. And it also sucks because most of us can see the gluten-free fad as the stupid fad that it is but many people don't realize there actually are people who legit can't eat gluten and they get lumped together with the silly fad-seekers and scorned.

I dunno, seems like most of the action is in the cheese, sauce and toppings but crust can definitely make or break a pizza.

I have never seen a gluten free pizza that didn't also feature vegan cheese. Admittedly, I don't look very hard for it but they're usually thrown in together.

The gluten-free crust crumbles apart as you chew like it's powder and takes on no taste from the toppings.

I've had several gluten free pizzas in my time. Any bread product sans gluten is inferior but with an appropriate gluten free flour mix you can make a completely acceptable version of whatever you're going for. Mind you I'm not that crust picky so others might disagree.

Rant: Small children grabbing my cane, and the parents glaring at me when I inevitably go off-balance and have a bad fall.

I hate people sometimes.

I tried out gluten free pizza.

Truly horrible.
Yes, without the gluten the texture is ruined.

Sometimes people manage to convey not only their meanness but their stupidity.

Someone put gluten-free cheeseburger bites in the 'vegan' section of the frozen foods aisle in a grocery store specifically because - or as a perfect reflection of - this fad culture.

Also I simply have to chime in and say that yes, gluten-free pizza is terrible, you just can't replicate the crust.
