Rant: An online friend of mine was really really sad yesterday and now today he didn't come online (which is very unusual). I'm really worried but I don't have any other way to get in contact.

I'm hoping he's just off sleeping or something. He was talking super-fatalistic yesterday and I asked him if he wanted to hurt himself and he said no. But I'm worried anyways.

My friend is ok. Apparently he just wanted some time to think. That's a relief.

Why did they continue to fulfill that product's prescriptions if they knew it was in a recall?

I surmise that they might not be fully trained personnel, or overworked, or underpaid, or a combination of two or more of those.

If there are any honeysuckle trees in your neighborhood, see if you can get a couple of twigs of it. In my experience, honeysuckle makes cats mellow.

It worked a couple of times to break up my cats' fights. All four were going at it, I dropped a twig of honeysuckle among them, and they immediately took a sniff and stopped fighting. One of them went to sleep.

Kindle should save all that stuff on Amazon servers. If there's a feature enabled by default to show you "popular highlights" from other users, it's grabbing their annotation data. Losing it definitely sucks, but the work and effort might not be wasted...

Authorities say eight students were injured in a shooting at a suburban Denver school on Tuesday, and several are in critical condition.

That's handy for me, since I misplaced my Kindle two years ago and haven't found it yet (it's in the apartment somewhere, just migrated during unpacking from my last move...). But if I sync what my account says I bought with Kindle for PC, I can read everything I ever bought on my laptop, even though I bought most of it at least two laptops ago.

This is quite handy, given my vision issues these past few months.

I prefer using Calibre to handle my eBook collection. (As for DRM: What's that? ) I can either load the books right onto my eReader or use the content server if I don't feel like messing with cables.
