So the water is back on. However, they had to tear a big hole in the road to get to the busted water main. So they have the road blocked completely except for a zig-zag barrier that people who live inside the blocked area can use to get out. They told my neighbor she won't have access to her driveway for about a week so we told her she can park in our driveway until the work is done.

Bossman: Hey BennyC, we need you to do this thing.
Me: Ok, wouldn't Person A be better to do the thing?
Bossman: Person A is leaving the project soon.
Me: Well I don't know how to do this thing. Who should I talk to get more information?
Bossman: Talk to Person A before he leaves.
Me: Sure

Me: Hey Person A can you help me out with this?
Person A: I did this for X. You need to do it for Y. Y is not X so the solution won't be the same. I don't know how to do it for Y.
Me: So what do I do?
Person A: Try looking at these *proceeds to forward me hundreds of files*

Bossman: Hey BennyC, we found Person B from another team. They might be able to help.
Person B: We have some tutorials on how to do this. They are incomplete and vague but they're better than nothing.
Me:

***after a bunch of time pouring over all the documents***

Me: I think I almost have this. I only need to figure out X, Y, and Z.
Bossman: Maybe Person C can help out.
Person C: Uh...we never did X, Y, and Z. We only did 1, 2, and 3. You might have to start over.
Me:

Facebook has entirely removed chronological sorting of the comments on group posts and this has resulted in a major decrease in quality and continuity. The new choices are Relevant (algorithm wizardry that is never right), Newest First (why?), and All (which is actually Relevant). Now I get to read threads related to my industry and not know which comments were made when unless I individually note every time stamp and build a timeline in my head.

Horrible change.

I think the only reason Facebook hasn't gone the way of MySpace is because there isn't really any good alternative. Once one comes along though, it's bye-bye Facebook.

I quit several times a day, when I'm working. Apparently it's part of my charm.

I really only use Facebook because everyone else uses it and I need some way of talking to people I know for things and I don't have any other social media.
