*grmpf* had to hurry with some of the genomes, because someone was already working on them.
Did my best, the first of the first 5 are done.
Turns out 3 are crap, because they've apparently sent the wrong stuff to sequencing (or picked the wrong stuff...or it was mixed up...whatever, it's 3 times the same, and not what it should be).

At least that's less terrible than the screwed up metatranscriptomics set. More time, more money, but in contrast that doesn't directly affect me (...yet...*sigh*).

And I got more work dumped on my desk .

Much more important rant: I lost a game of civ on Victory Points while trying to salvage a Culture victory. Eff you, Piedras Negras! Ran a half-marathon in Atlanta today and the effing hills really took it out of me.

Nah, hills are just too politically correct - this 'equal amount of uphill & downhill' business is just nonsense.

Rant: local hills and flatter parts are still missing adequate snow coverage. I want my winter since summer is clearly over.

I have no problem with the downhill parts, those were great. You just had to lift a foot and you'd move forward. The uphill parts, though, really took it out on my knees. I haven't had joint soreness like that ever.
