Sorry to hear that. Losing people you have known all your life is always crappy, even if you never have been too close. I found myself weeping like a baby even over a man who was a genuine bastard half the time I was around him. Hope you recover well after.
@azza: I had/have a similar thing when my depressive episodes roll by. My record was sleeping 15 hours and waking up tired, many days in a row. Get some help if you can (GP exam, various activities, therapy, meds).
My rant is that wading through other people's code is disgusting, even when it's well written and documented. Wrapping your mind around it is a mentally exhausting process and it is putting me off doing my project and wondering if I haven't wasted 3 years of my life in CompSci.

What's the damn point of a lawn anyway. It's just grass, it just sits there being unproductive and consuming money and labour to maintain its miserable existence, it doesn't even look alive half the year 'cause we're three miles from the surface of the sun and watering it is lunacy for a desert country.
