Caught a train that was meant to take 90 minutes. It departed on time, and arrived 80 minutes late. Was overcrowded and under air-conditioned, with old uncomfortable seats. I hadn't brought anything to keep myself occupied. Stupid DB.

I don't think so, though I didn't actually catch what the problem was. Seemed likely to be some sort of signal problem, and when I got back to Munich Hbf, the board indicated that almost all trains were delayed.

I thought trains were great in Europe, especially Western Europe.

They usually are, just not unfailingly so. Deutsche Bahn has a bit of a reputation for running late. 'German punctuality'.

Student Finance England is being pants-on-head ********, as per usual. No matter what I do the website won't display my correct tuition fees for next year so I can't apply for a loan.

Dunno. I'm not going to tell anyone it's a bad show. It feels like it's desperately close to me actually finding it funny. My wife goes on binges of it every now and then. I just alternate between cringing and being annoyed at characters who spend most of their time being horrible to each other. I'm more of a Princess Bride or even Dr. Who sort of guy when it comes to humor. Maybe I like a little less dystopian/dark and a little more glee? That's probably it, one of the very few dark humor sorts of movies I actually really like is Death to Smoochy, and that has a lot of glee in it.
