Random Rants LIII: F My Life

Dunno. I'm not going to tell anyone it's a bad show. It feels like it's desperately close to me actually finding it funny. My wife goes on binges of it every now and then. I just alternate between cringing and being annoyed at characters who spend most of their time being horrible to each other. I'm more of a Princess Bride or even Dr. Who sort of guy when it comes to humor. Maybe I like a little less dystopian/dark and a little more glee? That's probably it, one of the very few dark humor sorts of movies I actually really like is Death to Smoochy, and that has a lot of glee in it.

The show also has a lot of running gags, so if you haven't watched it from the beginning you're probably missing jokes.

Oh, I've seen almost all of the episodes. Time with the wife is worth some shows I don't care for.

I feel for you, Mr Boy. Watching tv programmes just for the company of your co-watcher happens a lot.

I have been known to talk angrily about the thing all the way through it. To the annoyance of the other. I really shouldn't do it.

Really it's all right. She also has the endearing habit of tossing on John Wayne movies too. Not that I particularly like John Wayne movies, it could just be a lot worse. Like Switched At Birth or some other madness. Also, she does put up with my movies pretty well so long as there is an actor she likes in it. Watched a bevy of Star Trek movies for a while. Poor thing had nightmares from Ricardo Montalbon's performance as Khan.

I hate HUD right now. There was a nice little starter home that we were looking at buying, but because HUD now wants it for Section 8 housing we are now not allowed to purchase it. Apparently HUD takes priority over all other potential buyers. That's a load of crap to me.

They usually are, just not unfailingly so. Deutsche Bahn has a bit of a reputation for running late. 'German punctuality'.

Opposite for me. Instead of eating big unhealthy meals at the dining halls or a fast food place every day, now I have only a light lunch and dinner, plus I only drink water and don't have dessert nearly as often. Though, I'm less hungry when I'm not walking several miles each day.

Well, my issue is that the food at my school got really terrible at the end of the year, so my appetite died, and now it's making up for it.

I've had a song stuck in my head for several days now, and whenever that happens, my mental version of the song gradually degrades until it's out-of-tune and missing parts. Ugh. I'm now trying to flush it out with some other music, and hoping that it doesn't repeat the process.

Out of curiosity, do you play any instruments? I play piano and have perfect pitch, so songs do degrade in my head but they always manage to keep the basic format for the most part so it isn't too bad for me.
