It probably is all related. They don't need the bike for fun, but so as to use the rustiest part of it so as to impale that girl on the forehead and then pin it all on you.

The peculiar work-load is just the excuse they wanted to theatrically shake their head and mumble something about "he was over-stressed".

Stuck in a dorm room with these annoying American girls. They're evidently 18-21, that peculiarly American age group which has a 15 year old's attitude towards alcohol. Came into the room after clubbing at about 3am last night, and apparently content that everyone else must be sound asleep, proceeded to verbalise their latest respective existential crises, that existence apparently revolving around who's hooking up with who. At least I now know not to trust someone named Nicole.

I have jury duty tomorrow.

When I called the number to confirm I found that they will require juror # 1 through # 470 to show up. I'm juror # 419.

This will requiring waking up much earlier than I am wont to do.

I'm not sure if I'll actually serve on a jury or will just have to sit on an uncomfortable bench for hours.


I'm hoping that the situation will be one where I can convince my fellow jurors to nullify an unjust law, but the odds of that are probably pretty low.

I had a jury duty letter but was cancelled a week before the service. I was looking forward to it because I could bring a book to read during the wait time, and there was a possibility I could 12 Angry Men that jury room.

Probably not a problem, probably...

...but, a girl I was poised to asked out just established a relationship with another! I guess I will ask her ask out anyway, and see if she is interested in an affair. She responded fairly positively when I said I liked her (this was after I learned about the relationship), so she just might be worth a try.

Funny story, I came to the rants thread to post that I think I'm in the same boat.
