EDIT2: :vomit: *uargh*
Why are the 5 and the 6 which they use for the date of expiry so similar?
One month overdue.
That joghurt must have been one of the most disgusting things I've ever tasted.
Just the day before yesterday I ate a yogurt and natural one at that which had expired for a month.
At first I was very cautious but it escalated quickly and I happily devoured the whole thing. Yummy

A flat mate of mine once wondered why I hadn't died of food poisoning yet. I never even had food poisoning to my knowledge.

Consider yourself fortunate. Food poisoning is definitely one of the worst experiences I've had in my entire life.

What are some of your other worst experiences, for comparison?

What are some of your other worst experiences, for comparison?

My top five worst experiences would have to be:

1. Seeing the mutilated bodies of one of my sources and his family who were murdered because he couldn't keep his mouth shut about working for me.

2. Providing first aid to my friend who lost his right eye in an IED blast.

3. Any of the numerous times we were ambushed while on patrol.

4. Watching my grandfather slowly waste away from cancer.

5. The food poisoning I mentioned while in Iraq.

Now it may seem like the food poisoning doesn't compare to any of the other things on the list, but it was a pretty bad case of it and I was in a situation where medical care wasn't readily available so I just had to "tough it out".

That's the kind of sensitive information people shouldn't post online.

It's like that kid who landed a job with Google and got fired shortly after for getting too excited about it... except this guy got fired upon instead.

It's seagull nesting season again so they are getting aggressive.

OK I annoyed a seagull that was minding its own business on Tuesday evening by cawing back at it - took off from the roof and took a couple of swoops at me.
On Wednesday evening I was walking the same way and it didn't even squawk at me - it took off in a straight line towards me.

My wife was waiting in the car and saw the whole thing - I didn't get much sympathy.

Me and my neighbor have both been having trouble with nesting birds. I went online and discovered a bird repellant. Grind up peppers, put them in a clear glass container of water. Leave the container outside for a day as if you're making sun tea. Then spray or paint the nesting area with the pepper solution. The birds go away.

If you mean sensitive in the sense that it is classified, then that's not a problem because I didn't reveal any specifics. If I had given specifics like names, dates, etc. then it would be a problem.

If you mean sensitive as in disturbing and unsettling, then I agree with you but I was asked so I answered. A lot of that stuff obviously changed me forever, but it doesn't bother me anymore because I learned to come to terms with it and move on with my life.

I think he's referring to the guy whose family got fired upon after he revealed his involvement.

If you mean sensitive as in disturbing and unsettling…
Yes, both. And for situtations such as the latter, I personally prefer to use private messaging. Anything that goes online has an extremely high probability of remaining online in one form or another.

That, too.

Really? Does this work? And what sort of peppers do you mean, chili peppers, or black peppers?

I have pigeons in my garden that can be a nuisance, and they've a real taste for the mustard that I grow. Which must make their beaks smart a bit.

I've realized this is true. And I've regretted posting so much rubbish in the past. So much do I regret this that I'm busy diluting it with even more rubbish.

Life enjoys kicking me straight in the balls whenever it actually starts to look good, and it does that very suddenly. Two weeks ago, school gets out, I had a great time with my friends for the few days after, and the suddenly I found out one of my best friends was in the hospital (she's alright, thankfully) the morning after I found out one of my grandma's two dogs has lung cancer (and unfortunately only has a few days to live). Tomorrow I'm headed out to KC to visit my mom for the first time since December, and I had a great day, but a few hours ago my grandma called me and told me that when she came home she found her other dog barely alive (he had a massive tunor in its stomach that ruptured), and he had to be put down. I'm alright, but I can tell that my grandma's a wreck right now...

Pretty sure it's kicking other people you know in the balls more than you right now...

I know...believe me, I know. I'm extremely concerned for everyone mentioned in that post...but I'm also hurt by all of it. And it sucks for everyone involved, and all I can do is try to comfort them and help...

Sorta related rant: It also sucks that I can't phrase anything like that without sounding like "oh, woe is me, i'm hurt the worst here", because it makes me sound like an ass.

Eh, it doesn't matter to me if that stuff stays online. Nothing I have said violates my lifetime non-disclosure agreement. Recently I have also come around to the thinking that people need to know the truth about just how bad things really can get, and just how evil some people can be. So I try to be as truthful as I can when asked about such things, without violating my commitment to the US government.

Also, the source and his family weren't shot. It was much worse what happened to them, but I won't post those details publicly.

football manager 14 is hard

i started out well as hibs but the last four games the team has looked completely inept.

edit: it seems that hibs finished second to last, only because hearts were docked 15 points for entering administration. i may have chosen poorly.
